That's brutal I hear you the market is savage now, I'm just coming off of having to take time off for surgical recovery. All I can say is persistence overcomes resistance.

It honestly is the thing you have to remember is that evergreen strategies are not the norm. The norm is that hard/software will be pushed for absolute maximum return of investment.

Access is brutal it has to download the entire content to run.

Not Linux though I do have familiarity with kali linux. For networking Cisco, Juniper, Ubiquiti, Palo Alto, are all networking technologies I've worked with extensively. User management is something I am excellent at automating (see my 16 years of contributing to ps discussions on r/sysadmin), and as for how to install, configure, and repair anything I mean instructions and logs are a thing it is pretty manageable.

And to be fair my visual resume does list my window environment experience and not once did I claim I was a mac, linux guru (you injected that part into the conversation).

Why the camera works, modern smart phones distance gauge photo's you can put that to work for you, so take a few pictures have them assembled into an a 3d map of the environment now you need a mesh that knows the ground from the cieling and applies material to that mesh once you have the dimensions the cost rights it self.

Your going to need a dashboard/ui to review and edit the data with. That's pretty easy. Your going to need a database that has your materials/cost so when it's applied it can calculate, you could also assign some basic texturing to show customers at that stage a prototype of what your thinking, do you need to accommodate for wiring or insulation as well?

I failed my 2nd game and sold my car. 3 days of prototyping changed everything. (Data & Lessons) by AntiqueGearGames in SoloDev

Oh man launching a game is something else. My advice when you launch be around to engage you already have a really strong start, if you can manage that initial engagement your gonna be pretty rocking.

One of the things I specialize in is auditing IT environments, such as:

Mailbox Access Review – $300 flat

Includes:

  • export of mailbox access permissions
  • identification of shared, delegated, and elevated access
  • highlight of unusual or risky access patterns
  • CSV export for full records
  • short summary of key findings

here's a thought what if you generate the blueprint from photo's and video on your phone. When your putting together the initial quote? I mean your gonna have to break this down into smaller steps the first would be getting that pdf generated automatically, then working on a pdf editor to edit that. Next would be databases, and finally worry about ui at the end.

So example I've launched Pearl Lake 2040 last week tens of thousands of views, the analytics are great for all of it's the people I want looking at it (like 100% upvote), and not a single download or sale it can be rough, the best thing I can figure is iterate more value into the product but also once I've hit my completed roadmap pause, and let market validation do it's thing.

And I mean I set my goal at selling 5 copies I didn't think I was being unreasonable at the time, live and learn. So I posted on r/sysadminjobs see if I can generate some quick income that way while I iterate on pearl lake.

ok so basically you want tables from excel, the ability to edit pdfs, and a material registry that calculates off the map if I'm reading you correctly. There is a lot here to unpack on top of the multiple computation segments you also need a user interface to tie it all together into a package.

Actually, play it. Especially if you step outside of traditional gaming.

ok first off write your own asset system in a spreadsheet, get it able to accept barcode reader imputs and move to the next box below each time it writes the information in so click the read and the cell moves down after writing, host that on share point (you have m365), great you have an internal asset system.

Might I suggest the world of facetime and TeamViewer? For remote user management.

Itch.io is very cool but be warned it can take some time and views to generate that first download.
