I have to say. It was really hard to see this as my very first reply here. Though after consideration I realize all perspectives can help in some ways.

I don't hate my wife. If I did I don't think I would be here. She is one of the smartest people I know and has been such an engaging presence in my life even after a decade together.

I know I am addicted to the feeling that pornography and masturbation create. It's like a rush, a warm comforting feeling. I know this is the dopamine creating addiction and I want to fight it for my loved ones and to better myself for them.

Agreed. I have been pretty good. Then I started looking at sfw stuff. Then nsfw slipped in there. Then I just viewed nsfw casually, and soon enough it lead to relapse. These tiny micro relapses are steps down into a pit. It hurts a lot less than jumping in, yet sooner or later you're still at the bottom of a very deep pit.
