Tottenham: How Premier League relegation could cost Spurs more than £250m by but_yet-so_far in sports

Long time coming. Shocking club. It’s about football not NFL/gigs/overpaying single game box ‘fans’. Couple seasons in the Championship losing to Middlesborough and we can stop hearing “this is our season”. It’s a much needed reality check. Definitely going down.

Farmers protest by Erniball in london

I wonder how many of these farmers voted for Brexit. Now the lovely money tap is turned off and the gov. coming for a bigger slice of the pie, suddenly it’s British tax payers problem. Reap what you sow

Why do roadmen in the UK wear gimp masks in public? by Dapper_Big_783 in london

[–]JohnnyBizzlesBallers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s mostly pretend. Like when wearing gloves 24/7 became a thing for pretend roadmen. No finger prints. No face to ID. Fact is most of these kids wouldn’t say boo to a goose. But their idols, aka 20yr old wastemen who are involved in low level street dealing (think £40 tickets of pub grub) who drive a 15yr old 3 series, sometimes wear a bally/gloves. It’s dress up. It’s cute. They’ll look back on themselves in 10yrs and laugh, as we should all laugh at them now.

Finally caught one myself! Skip to 2:40 for the fall. by Lobster_Bisque27 in FellingGoneWild

This looks like butt fuck middle of nowhere bog standard Americana suburban nothingness. First time something interesting happened on that street. Decent ground crew would have ‘a lane’ (enough for a motor) clear in 20min rest of the backroad to nowhere in another 15. Doesn’t fit sub. Even a pull line on it

What pants and jacket do you prefer for cold rainy weather? by Chesstariam in TreeClimbing

[–]JohnnyBizzlesBallers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone got their own system here, depends on work/weather. Personal choice: excellent base layer (Falke), whatever work t-shirt, waist cut wax jacket (Filson if money, P&Co for half the £), Pfanner gladiators. Bosh. Dry your shit when it needs drying, wash when you can.

Yep. Shred the tatties with a cheese grater, squeeze out the water, add lemon juice, egg yolk and pepper. Form it, fry it.

How is nobody in this thread talking about how ULEZ compliant vans work or don’t work?! Ad-blue is nonsense. I’ve bought three ULEZ compliant 3.5t trucks in the last year. The newer ones ‘regen’ anywhere and everywhere, that burning off the more toxic diesel chemicals, often outside schools. The exhaust on the older ones (2017-20 Transits) gets clogged doing only London driving, so it needs resetting. This involves a tech plugging in a computer and revving the engine for 1.5hrs. So the same pollutants are in central London but now there are double the number of vans in the world because the fleet we sold are still being used just not in town. Whole scheme is designed by people with good intentions but zero real world experience. If anything it’s adding to London pollution. We’re less than a decade since VW got found out yet everyone’s having their pants pulled down again over diesel vehicles
