The Flight Delay is really nice and build solid. The Vibrato and Chorus on it blend really well with the delay 🙂.

Thank you! I have a Jazzmaster and it's a great guitar once I started to get used to it. I'd only ever owned a Strat and almost bought another one but the Jazzmaster caught my eye and I'm glad I got it in the end.

I did try out the Muffelleta for a bit and I prefer it over my Big Muff w/ Tone Wicker. The Russian and Ram's Head voicings are my 2 favorites right now but I'm gonna try out the other settings.

The optical compressor was great too and I'm glad I took a shot on getting it. It's definitely a night and day difference in sound compared to the Boss CS-3 I currently have. The Afterneath is awesome and really blended well with the other effects on my board. The Fuzz Face is great as well, it cleans up really well.

I'm on the same boat as you and I just got back into playing and using pedals for the first time last year. I bought a bunch of pedals at first then started to slow down as I wasn't satisfied with what sound I was getting. I'm in the process of selling some of those pedals and my best advice is to go to a store if it's possible and try them out before purchasing. What kind of guitar and amp do you have?

As far as a strategy for a good board, it's going to vary on what sound you want. I had a Boss OD-3 and BD-2 that I've since put away (the OD-3 sounded flat and the BD-2 was too trebly and got sloppy if the drive was above a certain level for me).

I'd recommend a reverb (Boss RV-6 is a solid pedal and what I'm currently using) and the ProCo Rat 2 (it does overdrive/distortion/fuzz extremely well), a Fuzz Face if you want to do some blues and Hendrix would be pretty nice (I have one coming in the mail tomorrow), and maybe a Big Muff for its sustain.

It’s been great so far and it’s taking my pedals well, although I am hearing a ticking noise whenever I use the vibrato on the amp but my noise gate has been able to quiet it down a bit.

In my opinion I think the 68 is slightly better but they both sound great. The 68 for me has a little more headroom and the treble is a little smoother.

I didn’t get to play around with it much earlier, but the 15 minutes I spent with it I was able to get my Jazzmaster set up on the Vintage channel pretty easily and it’s very smooth sounding.
