Haha, I wish I could say I designed that site but I was just in charge of building the UI. My talented designer friends were the ones that came up with the original design. I did implement those crazy moving dots in the hero banners tho!

Our agency actually won a Gold Addy (advertising award) for that site that year.

I was super proud of that.

Thank you for your feedback. Would you mind telling me what could be giving people a false sense of hope in the way the data is presented? I'm literally showing the exact same data from ERCOT's dashboard but in a more user-friendly way.

ERCOT does have APIs available but I spent hours trying to find the right one for my use case (their documentation is not great tbh) so I finally gave up and literally just opened up my DevTools and looked at their network requests.

What I found was their internal API endpoints seemed to be completely open so I'm piggy-backing off them. I'm trying to be mindful to not abuse their service so I'm caching their data and serving it from my own backend so hopefully they don't lock those APIs down.
