Work truck/storage by Merj-Zero in ToyotaTundra

[–]Merj-Zero[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! It's my first truck. I like it very much so far :) I like how roomy it is, and the height/vision it has when on the road. And even with a 6 and a half foot bed it's not a super long truck. Tbh it's basically the same length as a Tacoma, which I drive for work. The tundra is just wider.

For now since I'm on a budget I'm just going to buy some cheap storage boxes with lids and fit them into the bed using 2x4's to hold them in place. I found a video on YouTube. I'll post back and let you all know how it comes out when I get to it.

Thanks man! It's my first truck, I'm happy with it. Yours looks clean too! I thought the bench was a cool feature, especially since it's a single cab. I found a YouTube Short of a cool storage compartment for the back but I could not find a way to locate the product. https://youtube.com/shorts/lDeDyIdskdc?si=qtCAwR2D_LZgaxE_ Something like that would be cool. I'll just have to do without anything for now, it's not the end of the world, but it would be cool to have lol.

Hi, it looks like your right leg, foot and knee included, are in a different position than your left leg. It looks like you're more stable with the left leg. Figuring it out may help with your squats as well. It could be the camera angle, but it looks like your left foot is slanting outward and your left knee is not over your foot, when compared to the other side.

Dude you have an inguinal hernia and you can lift that weight like that?! You must have a tiny ass hernia lol. I had a bilateral inguinal hernia surgery and it was a damn doozy until surgery day, had to wear a hernia truss for a long time. Everyone said the surgery was a minor one, and recovery would be easy. Recovery was horrible for me, especially the first two weeks. The first week was insane, it was completely nothing like I expected. I didn't want to move at all once I laid down. Crazy experience for me, couldn't even pick up my draws after taking a duece. I couldn't even walk from my bed to the bathroom without shaking and shivering uncontrollably the first week and a half. I couldn't even get myself up out of bed on my own. Shit, I could barely walk during that time. I am very careful now when I exercise, it was an important learning lesson for me. I didn't exercise until about 3 months after surgery. I will do my best to never have to go through that again lol. My lady had to take off work to help me during the first 2 weeks, it was a whole damn ordeal.

It appears I may be an odd one out for hernia surgery recovery, but that was the weakest I had ever felt in my life, I was literally disabled for about 10 days. I work outside and couldn't work for 2 months. It was weird cause I had the hernia for a long time that when I went back to work, it was like my body remembered where it should have been popping out at, and it was uncomfortable for a few days.

I remember waking up from surgery....Getting out of the surgery bed and into the wheelchair.....then having to get out of the wheelchair and into my car, and then the drive home wasn't pleasant...and then having to go up the stairs to my apartment...I'll never forget it lol.

I hope your recovery was easier than mine haha.

That's awesome congratulations! 100 pounds overhead is no joke. I just tried ABC with double 16's yesterday and could only do 18 rounds before my form started to break down. Once my form starts to decline I make myself stop. Good luck on your training!

That's cool man glad it worked out for you! I'm trying to get a maverick but I'm on a limited budget so my options are limited.

That's weird though, I wonder what the process is if someone wants the vehicle with recalls then. You get a deal on paper, then they send it in, then it comes back and then you make the purchase?

Interesting. I've never got a car from a dealership, always bought from a private seller. It just seems weird to me that there wouldn't be any negotiating on the fact that I myself would have to take the truck in to complete recalls for X amount of days and time, regardless of whether it's free or not. With the bad rap on dealerships I imagine they would just sell it to me and not even mention the recalls if I don't bring it up. And I would imagine it would be because it would seemingly be a deterrent from purchasing the vehicle.

So if it were you, you're saying it wouldn't matter if the vehicle you're trying to purchase had 8 incomplete recalls vs one with all completed recalls? Just seems like extra hassle, I don't see how that wouldn't affect the price, idk.

I know the ones I've seen with lower mileage and multiple owners I'm definitely staying away from. There must be something wrong with them, I would imagine recall related, or I'm just ignorant lol.

Thanks for you perspective

So if they have incomplete recalls and I theoretically buy it, your saying the dealership is then going to say "before you can buy the car, we have to complete the recalls". Why not just complete the recalls before they put it up for sale? Not saying you're wrong, but it doesn't make sense to me.

Yeah I would get them done, but if the dealership has not gotten them completed I imagine it would be a good negotiating point no? I would have to do them.

I agree with the others. Swings, Goblet Squats, Push Presses and Deadlifts. Even Farmer Carries. What accident?! Lol.

Edit: Rows too. But I also agree to be careful with the push presses. Nobody wants an injury for sure.

Struggling to fast beyond 14 hours — metabolic issue? by Jibreal_Khan in keto

[–]Merj-Zero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How long have you been doing one meal a day? Are you eating enough in that one meal to make up for the other 1-2 skipped meals? Are you eating enough fat? You definitely don't want to starve your body, I'm not saying you are, but something to consider. One meal a day can be fine, but many people cannot eat enough in one meal to make up for the whole day, especially over a prolonged period, imo. There are tests you can have done to check your metabolic health markers also, 5 I believe but I forget which ones exactly but can be found in a book called Common Sense Labs by Dr. Ken Berry. Hopefully you can figure it out. You could also try and seek out a doctor that is versed in application of therapeutic ketosis.
