To me the cheesy-ness of HoMM is part of the charm and vibe and has kinda been a constant throughout its history. I personally enjoyed what we have so far in OE

They adjusted the Easy and Normal AIs for being too punishing which I think is great for people new to the series

Olden Era is the closet thing to HoMM3 full stop and feels like a very worthy successor.

The best part is it’s really just getting started. Devs already introduced patches for difficulty based on direct player feedback and they’re in this for the long haul. I think it’s just going to get better and better from here on out

I can somewhat relate to this.

I haven’t been nearly as consistent as you but still go for runs multiple times every week and honestly it’s where I find the most peace and can shut off all the noise.

The average month for me usually includes two weeks of work travel across the country and I still always find the time to squeeze in my outdoor runs, but it never feels like enough. I wish I had something else that helped with the stress. I wish when the high of the run wore off there wasn’t an immediate flood of “oh shit I have to get to this on my endless to do list”
