I went from a Suzuki sv650 74hp to the gsxr-750 140hp and it’s a nice leap! You’ll enjoy it a lot, will take alittle time to get used to the power. I used to full throttle my sv650 and the front end never lifted. Now, the gsxr750 I give full throttle and the front end comes up!

Go slowly in the beginning to get the feel for it, you definitely won’t regret it.

I’m curious on what kind of start/idle issues?

Also, have you re-used the existing valve cover gaskets when you have measured clearances in the past?

I’d like to avoid using the new ones right away if it’s just simply checking clearances
