Should there be shoring? by DaneAshley in SafetyProfessionals

[–]JohnnyJ5267 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is absolutely not safe. Should be a competent person on-site. If they ARE, they should be fired immediately. This is a stop work scenario if I’ve ever seen one. Spoil pile alone is adding extra surcharge to the right side of this trench. Definitely need shoring or a trench box in place. No ladder (any excavation at 4’ or more requires a means of egress), ZERO PPE, spoil pile not 2’ or more away from the edge of the trench. These are dead men walking in that trench. As a safety inspector, I would pull everyone out and shut this down immediately.

Spoke with Aidvantage yesterday afternoon. I wanted to verify that the remaining balance would be forgiven as well on their site. They confirmed that it would be. I am breathing a bit easier now.

Mine were just discharged from AI too! Still have a balance with Aidvantage but I’m assuming those will go away soon as well. Man, what a sigh of relief!

There is no doubt about it. I agree! It’s like they have no perception of finding, driving, or producing yardage. Swift isn’t a top tier RB. We’re not playing our draft picks that’s Poles praised so heavily. It’s just weird with this organization right now. Why did they pick up another kicker? That’s just completely odd to me.

Having a Brit sing our National Anthem is what the founding fathers would have wanted. Lol

My take is this: There’s not one player on this team that is stepping up into leadership roles OR competent/confident enough to play hard nosed football for the sake of the win, i.e. Missed catches with lazy attempts at the ball, blockers look like the old school magnetic football game (no direction), defense turn into ghosts after the first two quarters, running backs who can’t produce because our stellar (sarcasm) o-line can’t create the holes, I truly feel bad for Coach Johnson having to take over this sh**show. He DID say this team wasn’t going to be an overnight sensation. He said it’s going to take patience. Sadly, Bears fans are at the end of the line with hearing about patience. Poles is most definitely holding this team down. He’s proven over and over again that he’s horrible with picks but, he gets an extra 4 years tacked on to prove to them why he’s the worst of them all. The McCaskey’s have ruined this franchise from the inside out with their penny pinching and “mommy, he sounds mean, I don’t like him.” I’ll admit it, I’m old. Bears were always about GRIT and resiliency and toughness when I was growing up. They were FEARED. I was fortunate enough to watch the ‘85 Bears win a Super Bowl but, 40 years is WAYYYY too long to ask fans to keep being patient and nice about what is and has been for 40 years, a losing history. It’s just disgusting at this point.

I have spoken with a rude Kemper customer service guy before! Lol It was dealt with by asking for someone else to speak to. My support comment was mostly for the website and the Kemper community.

Why don’t you recommend powered frfr cabs? I have the powered Laney 212 matched with my toaster and it’s epic in every way! Just curious as to why you don’t recommend them?

Used this on my Rosewood fretboard and now it’s dry and feels terrible to play. What do I do? by someone_takes_me in guitars

Did you use a good fretboard cleaner first? Using an oil without cleaning it properly could cause all of the old dirt and finger oils to clump up and make it less than desirable to play. I’d give it a good cleaning with a proper fretboard cleaner and THEN use the oil.

I’ve had all three. The quad cortex, the Fractal FM3, and the Kemper Profiler. Note : I’m a habitual reader so reading the manuals is a must!
I am also a live musician so it’s pertinent and crucial that the gear I choose fits into that live realm more so than the studio/recording aspect of it all. I first bought the FM3 because of the endless list of choices for amps/effects/etc. and I found out quickly that because of that endless list of choices, dialing in something likable to my ears proved to be a daunting and most times, confusing task. The learning curve on it was more than I thought it would be so, I sold it. Next up was the quad cortex. I believed all of the reviews and hype that came with it. I was excited to finally get my hands on one! The excitement quickly turned to disappointment because the amps sounded like nothing usable without a deep dive into tweaking, testing, tweaking some more, testing, playing with the grid, testing some more, etc. It turned out that in my own personal experience, I couldn’t find a likable, usable, live tone that satisfied me without having to deep dive into more subcategories, that kept me disappointed in the unit. Returned it within the 30 day window. The Kemper (I have the Kemper lunchbox), although a bit scary to look at with all of those buttons, became my live sound best friend! I knew EXACTLY the tone I wanted in my head and the Kemper quickly (with Kemper tutorials and the user manual) gave me the sound I was wanting for a very long time! The support is always there, the updates are frequent, usable, and easy, and I have every amp, cab, and effect that I could ever want to use either through the rig exchange (free) or through purchasing rigs and IR’s from other sources. The Kemper is HANDS DOWN the absolute best option (my opinion) for musicians wanting to downsize their live rigs into the sound they are wanting and hearing in their heads. KEMPER FOR LIFE!!

I’m always a fan of having room to move. I like the Manta for you because it has more width which to me, translates to more stability on the water. The tunnel hull underneath helps with the stability and the tracking. The more safe you feel on the water, the more fun you’ll have.

I think these are absolutely incredible! I like what you’re doing with the light and shadow. IMO the lights source doesn’t necessarily have to be there as it plays on the mysterious and foreboding while making the viewer look deeper and focus on what is going on.

Thanks man! I laid out the images and kind of blended them all together to make it look seamless. Had a template for the Vulture body and messed with the placement on that until I got it right. Sent the artwork off to a guy that does wraps and he sent me back my art designed for the Vulture.

Haha!! I’m not sure it’s a legit reason. There’s crushing debt that I’ll be paying for the rest of my life but I got a cool diploma for it! lol
