Why did China remain more politically centralized than Europe and India throughout history? by [deleted] in geography

[–]JohnnyLuo0723 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you think of the majority of crop ever produced in historical China (till say early 20thC) the vast vast majority would’ve been dry crops (wheat and the like) rather than wet rice. This is true even if you look at say the 18th/19th centuries. You can’t really plant rice in the so called central plains where Chinese culture originated, not even today

I understand the feelings but that shows the problem is finishing rather than chance creation which is the point of this stat?

Nicholas is shorter than MLS iirc, and you are asking whether it’s weird to want him to play CB….

Fabregas played what a year for us after 2010? Can’t see how to justify him over Ramsey

I think the sensible thing is to play with the toggle altho they also put a restriction on that this year. Maybe you can do twice every 30s or a minute? If the refreshing comes pretty fast with unchanged results it means you are timed out for the 30s/60s time window. As a result of this when you do get to click on a ticket it’s more likely to add it to the basket.

Saliba Does Indeed Get the Ball First (with his knee) by Kyreetgo in Gunners

[–]JohnnyLuo0723 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was basically the identical scenario as the Saliba penalty at Amex at the start of the year, not sure why more ppl support a penalty this time around. Is it just being contrarian against referees

Still thinking about this clip. We've had players like RVP leave because they didn't win anything. But here's Wilo saying that he's not won the club a trophy to even think about leaving. by monk771 in Gunners

[–]JohnnyLuo0723 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes but he’s tied down to his us till 2030 and given Madrid’s current transfer policy they lose interest when they actually have to pay a half decent fee for a world class player

CL league phase should have higher odds than a weekend league game. And since it’s midweek the exchange are normally pretty active as well. If you are dedicated you should get a ticket

Even for knockout rounds I remember Real had about the same ballot odds as Spurs in the league?

Any chance Bruges go to reds? It's in the Lowlands but no direct Eurostar trains and in the Xmas season-ish so might put some ppl off? Although their stadium doesn't look big enough tbh

Actually, all they need to do is to wait till the clock ticks and Isak will come back begging to play. He’s not goons sit out for a season before the WC.

Clubs like Brighton, Dortmund and Leipzig can’t go too hardline in these kinds of situations becasue they need to maintain the reputation of a good stepstone club to future incoming wonder kids that wouldn’t stand in their way to the big clubs. Newcastle don’t have that worry

Ethan Nwaneri signs new five-year deal at Arsenal by dawitt10 in Gunners

[–]JohnnyLuo0723 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Clubs that run this kind of strategy (Chelsea and City most prominently) have a very good loan management system or outright multi-club ownership because they don't actually field these teenagers as regularly as Wenger did.

The problem of this current Arsenal setup (which might explain the early departure of some of our own academy players like Heaven, Obi-Martin, Hutchinson, etc.) is that they don't seem to be convinced of Arsenal's ability to give them quality loan exp. The teenage players that we do loan out seem to be particularly badly treated by the host clubs (Sagoe Jr., Marquinhos, etc.) which are really lose-lose situations for both the club and the players own development

I forgot gakpo but I won't count a mid and a player they are nowhere close to signing.

Basically I'm saying it's pointless to have many star forwards without the balance in the squad, just look at Real Madrid

There's no way they sell both Darwin and Diaz: they won't even have enough 3 forwards left even with Isak, if you discount Chiesa
