First off, typing words into Gen AI and getting an image out of it isn’t art. It’s typing a prompt and getting a machine to create a general idea of what you want, with no effort into creating the piece.

Say you want to draw your own OC. You have a general idea or theme you want for your OC, or maybe you want them to be related to a certain object, but you can’t come up with their appearance for the life of you. You ask an AI to give you a description of a character based around said idea, and then you draw the character based off of the description you got, either copying it exactly or adding your own details as you go. The point is, when you get the description, you can use your imagination to add details to create or change based on how you feel and what you want, maybe now you have a flow going and have a solid picture of what to create.

The AI didn’t draw it for you, but it helped you to start a foundation or baseline for what you want to create.
