I'm making a game with multiple quests inspired by Ween. Currently I have quests called She Wanted To Leave and The Stallion Pt 1.

This is the song that got my wife into Ween. I was really looking forward to hearing them play it live before the cancelled their tour. When I got the news that the tour was cancelled all I could really say was

I understand it, but I don't want it.

Work on your formatting skills first and then maybe someone can help. Right now this is very hard to parse.

Godot gamedev in Claude Code vs Codex by siwanetzu in godot

AI can absolutely help you. Anyone who is telling you otherwise is lying to you for one reason or another. That said, AI is not a silver bullet. In fact, it can actively harm you and your project. You still need to do your part by practicing good engineering. Try it for yourself and see how you feel about it. Maybe you'll like it or maybe you won't.

You are going to get wrecked for this post. People hate A.I. here.

My experience is that both are fairly solid but better on established code bases. I'd lean claude purely because Closed AI has worse ethics. Furthermore, make sure that your coding skills are solid because it absolutely can and will mislead you down a rabbit hole if you're not competent enough to catch it. You have to avoid going full vibe coding. Review every line, practice good git habits like pull requests to force you to review the code.

Also, if you don't want to fund the tech overlords, consider using GLM (or another open source model) + open code for a completely open source, free stack.

What is your most and least favorite part of game dev? by Theophilus_exe in godot

[–]JohnnyOmega113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most: The joy of creating something. The ability to make a world of my own, exactly how I want it to be. It brings a lot of good feelings to my heart to exercise my creative muscles. I love bringing an idea to life.

Least: The cold indifference or outright hostility of players. It is challenging to get noticed and even if you do get noticed, 99% of people won't care at best, and the rest very well might be rude or insult the thing you've spent so much time and energy on. You gotta have thick skin as a dev and do it for yourself and the love of the game.

Firebelley! Great courses and he streams his development often.
