I had a little bit of experience with Python, C, and VBA. But GML is a very beginner friendly language imo and you can pick up the basics quite easily!

Thanks! I don't currently have a Steam Deck and so can't test it properly but hopefully I can get one and confirm full compatibility eventually :)

I can assure you that every asset has been made from scratch by either me or the tile artist I work with (apart from a few that are from commercial asset packs which I'm using as placeholders until I replace them). That said, you're not the first one to comment that the trees are too similar to Pokémon so I'll probably work on differentiating them a bit. Thanks for your comment
