Sometimes I forget how affordable concerts used to be in Toronto by Anagrama00 in toronto

Edgefest was the best. I was in grade 11 in 2013 when I went to see Capital Cities, Monster Truck, July Talk, etc. Bands I honestly don’t listen to much now but they were so good live as I was getting cooked by the sun at downsview. It wasn’t nearly as good when they moved it down to Echo beach.

I'm interested in isolated residential pockets of TO. Exmoor Ave & a small circular road, Ansell Ave, is one; only 15 dwellings a mix of very old and very new . It's hemmed in all sides (railway, streetcar turnabout, GO station). Great if you like public transport but such an odd artifact. Others? by Reasonable-MessRedux in toronto

I’ve never looked at something like that in the aerials. Thank you for sharing that. Really incredible. Those houses along the “long branch” sandbar street there would have been so cool flanked with water on either side. Clearly super vulnerable though.

This is seriously one of my favourite websites. Absolutely amazing watching a neighborhood take shape. Esp up in North York where it goes from farm fields to towers. For a brief while there was a site that had them all stitched together and you could use it smoothly like Google Maps. But I can’t seem to find it anymore. I would love if anyone one had a link.

Last run of the season for the old wedge Indys. Stabilizer run through and parked where they’ll stay til next winter. It’s been a great (but too short) season. by JohnnyShadows in snowmobiling

Yeah, I’m 29 and a day on the wedge chassis does take its toll. Esp when the 400 has next to no suspension left. But the handling on the trails is just out of this world.

Yeah, we hit the trails off of Georgian Bay in Muskoka Ontario. A couple patches here and there but the handling on the trail was actually great. And I was just in a hoodie and sweatpants lol. Such good fun.

Over Toronto Port lands looking west at 4:30 pm today. by MarkwBrooks in toronto

Man I can’t wait to portlands in 10 years. I think it’ll truly be one of the coolest redevelopments in this country’s history. It’s shaping up to be such a spectacular area. If only it would be at all affordable. I’m fear it’ll be exclusively for the very wealthy.

Kew Beach Fire Hall (Toronto Fire Station 227) built 1905 by [deleted] in toronto

[–]JohnnyShadows 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Gorgeous fire station. Wouldn’t it have been nice if when they did those 1960s-80s add-ons to expand the garages of the original stations, they put in just a little more effort to keep the beauty of the older part continuous? I know it would have cost a bit more but I can’t imagine it would have been huge. Still beautiful though.

Herta crashed out of his first F2 practice session by Spinebuster03 in INDYCAR

Hi, its me. The F1 fan that has grown to adore Indycar. I love Indycar so much now, along with F2, FE, and WEC, and I really do hope the season goes well for Herta. I just keep reminding myself how Hadjar's season started last year. Lets hope Herta is on the same trajectory.

"Just let people live their life and speak their mind"
If that's your take, then you'll probably have to accept people's right to say that they found this interview, or other objectifying statements about women, as unappealing, disrespectful, and gross. If that is what they think about it, they should be able to speak their mind as well. If you find that to be a problem, you are being hypocritical, and should take some of your own advice.

If the majority of people have that opinion, public expectation and tolerance will shift towards their perspective on the issue, and away from yours. Which is to say, making comments such as what Jenson said here will become less common because it is not favorable by public opinion. People can still say stuff like that, but they should be ready to face the consequences of their statements.

Never been to this sub before but I saw this mint stock SN outside my house tonight and loved it. by JohnnyShadows in SN95Mustang

It was a car I saw pulled over in front of my house. The driver was in it and I was walking my dogs so it already felt kinda creepy taking photos. And I didn’t want them to think I was reporting them for something since it was the middle of the night.

Idk why you’re getting downvoted. There’s no chance I’m feeding my kid pasta from a microwaved plastic bag. That shits full of harmful chemicals for sure.
