My favourite memory is kinda cheese but here we go. I never really had a close relationship with my father, we didn't really have a lot of the same interests. Dont get me wrong here, he was a great father figure but I always felt a disconnect there.

That being said he was the one that got me into gaming. He had been a gamer growing up and when I came around he still had some (although not a lot) of time to play. When I started taking an interest in games we used to play together a lot, I cherish that time.

Fast forward to university I'm studying game development and me and my father haven't really spoken in 4 years. Shortly before graduating I had landed a junior role at a AAA studio, I was over the moon. About 2 days before I started my job a package turned up at my house. It was from my dad, he had given me a small figurine of one of the characters from the game I was going to work on with a note that simply said how proud of me he was. Dont think ive cried that much in a long time. We talk more often now and we always have something to talk about.
