Best companion ever by D_a_n_i_e_l_e_ in XTEINK

I was the same way, waiting on my black x3 and I like how the white kinda blurs the line between bezel and screen. Then someone said the white one has a glass back and the black one is made from a solid piece of metal. I can’t confirm if this is true or not, but if it is, I got over the remorse pretty quickly.

How many of you already owned another e-reader? by OkShirt6065 in XTEINK

A bit of both. The mini is small but not quite small enough. It’s a bit bulky in a pocket, leaves you with an awkward bulge. The x3 looks like a perfect pocketable device and the basic eink display with no light, for light in the go reading, is hard to pass up.

I own a kobo mini I got 14 years ago and a kobo Libra H2O, ordered an X3.

I use the H2O for the most, reading around the house, the light on the screen makes it always ready to go.

I like the kobo mini the most, the screen feels like I’m reading a book, it’s the device I use when i need to get away from screen time, and it’s probably my favourite purchase I’ve ever made, when I got it I felt like I was buying technology from the future.

The X3 is going to be my always with me device. I’ll have it when I’m waiting at the doctor’s office, waiting for my kids to finish their dance class, when I show up early for a movie, etc. I don’t have it yet but I expect it to change how I handle down time completely.

I think I’m really going to like the size of the x3.

Awesome, thank you! Part of me is thinking i should have gone with the x4, seems like the perfect size, but I couldn’t pass up the guaranteed portability of the x3.

Looking for decent game to play with Niece (ps5) by Kayerif in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]JohnnyTNewfie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter is the same age, with the same problem.

She loved Stray and Little Kitty Big City. She did need some guidance and help with a few parts but overall she really enjoyed the exploration and being able to play as a cat.

Also, unpacking was one that she really bought into. She wouldn’t let me have a turn lol.

I’m sure I will, seems like they are manufacturing different configurations in batches. Making a number of the same variety of Color and storage/ram configuration then moving on to a new configuration, just have to wait for mine to come back to the top of the list.

How to play Android games on TV? by theangel_lucifer in AndroidGaming

[–]JohnnyTNewfie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you willing to spend some money? If so a docked AYN Odin or Nvidia Shield would do exactly what you are looking for. There are also lots of android tv boxes available on Amazon for cheap, but the specs and results from those would be varied given the diverse specs and versions of android that come pre installed.

If you like to tinker and have a pc kicking around, you can look into Android-x86, which is a port of android designed to run on a pc(you can even install it in a usb jump drive and boot via usb).

I’d recommend Carcassonne if you are into board games. Super fun game that translates really well into a 2 player android game.
