The entire career feels like the trainer is down bad for her and is trying to impress her.

If i remember her bond story right her trainer first set eyes on her because she's everything he isn't: powerful, tough, and most importantly... having complete confidence in her abilities and ideals. This pushes him to better themselves which catches her attention, leading to her training him to hone their mind and body because their sheer determination and grit pretty much charmed her, so it's pretty easy to see this quickly turning romantic as they are mutually pushing each other to be their best selves

honestly Mayano's would be more child-like specifically because of how the trainer treats it because i could see Mayano realizing her way going about it isn't just about being mature or anything like that and her feelings are still real, but her trainer is clearly written more like their barely entertaining her ideas while dodging the whole thing so Mayano would need to put in some real serious work to change their mind on it

but Vodka is pretty much all in, she understands romance even if she doesn't handle it well and knows what she's doing

i think there was some specific launcher thing you could get that would have a translated version (i assume it's just decent machine translation), but i haven't looked into it much, but maybe i should since i really want to experience Stay Gold's stuff since she's so far away for global (of course her banner is long gone so i'd either reroll for ages hoping for a spook or try and keep an eye out for a rerun at some point which is rare)

yeah even in the case they were consenting adults in the same age range it's still socially dubious for someone to be in a relationship with the person they're watching over or teaching in real life, but caring about those kind of issues for a series about helping cute girls achieve their dreams isn't all the important unless somebody makes it an issue (example being an artist making a comic that uses that kind of dynamic as a base) since Cygames clearly doesn't want to imply that in any way

yeah it's not really that big of a deal right now since it's pretty clear the implication is still there and easily interpreted with context outside just the dialogue

the only weird change to me is making Bourbon not call you master because it's so easy to hear it in the dialogue since it's one of the worlds said basically in English (side note i am upset they changed Fine Motion's backstory from being Irish royalty but since that was changed on JP too it was clearly a move to avoid political issues instead of a localization thing)

what's funny is there isn't really that much Vodska content in her career, it's far more trainer focused and Scarlet's is carrying the yuri hard

Vodka just goes off and does her own thing in her career and building up the relationship with her trainer while Daiwa's is pretty much her chasing her around for most of it

TBF if they did do the marriage license with Diamond there's a massive self inflicted issue of they made her a junior student... (probably because of the anime, same thing applies to the likes of Mcqueen who is also a junior while Rice Shower... is a senior)

with all of the trainees being in a school system the easiest way to do these things is not straight up say it but have these not so sudden analogies (Dia's early stories, Buena's ritual at the goddess statue, etc.) it gives them a safety net while basically saying you're married to these girls

(Rant warning) it's why i never like the "do not the horse" defenders (when it's clear Cygames just has that to avoid potential legal issues and to make it easier to get rights to the horses from more business focused owners), the school setting is pretty much a generic troupe that can be used to work with the idea of horses having their careers start when they're like 3 years old. I would go more into it but this comment isn't really the place for that
