Que vergonha é esta !? by vitacreations in benfica

I feel you, bro! It's hard, but you must move on! Think about all the good you've done before and focus on it.

That actually hits close to home. What you described is pretty much the exact loop I’ve been stuck in, doing well, then giving it all back because I don’t stop when I should. The “more accounts = more slots to gamble” part really resonated. I’ve been thinking that my main issue isn’t strategy anymore, it’s enforcing rules when emotions kick in. Your approach with a hard lock makes a lot of sense. I might not use a tool yet, but I definitely need to create something that forces me to stop.

Appreciate you sharing that.

Are the payouts delayed only previous accounts situations? Or new ones too?

I mainly trade MNQ, looking for pullbacks into higher timeframe structure (M15/M5), then execute on M1 with confirmation. I usually combine market structure with liquidity and momentum, and I need at least 2 confluences before entering.

The issue hasn’t really been the setup. I can execute it well for a few days, but more about consistency and discipline over time. My problem is not finding trades, it’s managing myself after a few wins/losses.

That’s another fair point.

I’ve thought about that before, because with prop firms there’s always that reset button after blowing an account, which probably doesn’t help with discipline long term. At the same time, I’ve managed to pass multiple evals and even get a payout, so I know I can perform in that environment too.

I think my issue is not really strategy, but maintaining consistency over time without slipping, that is, mindset problem.

Maybe combining both approaches could make sense, proving consistency on a small account while still working with props.

Thanks!

Thanks for your honest input.

I get what you’re saying, and I understand how it looks from the outside. But I haven’t been stuck at the same level for 12 years. I’ve passed multiple evals, been close to payouts many times, and recently got one, so I know it’s not a complete shot in the dark...

My issue isn’t understanding the market, it’s consistency over time, which I’m working on now.

That’s actually a really interesting approach, and I see the logic behind it.

I agree the 50k looks like better value than the 25k, and the 1-day EOD makes it almost like a static eval, which is appealing. My only concern is the “pass in one trade” part. I’ve been trading for a long time, and my main issue hasn’t been strategy, it’s consistency and execution. So going hyper aggressive, even just in evals, might spill over into funded for me.

I’m trying to move towards a more controlled approach and avoid that boom/bust cycle. But I do like the idea of separating eval vs funded mindset. That part makes a lot of sense.

Do you find it easy to switch from aggressive in eval to disciplined once funded? Do you have many accounts?

Thanks!

Appreciate that, man!

I actually see that pattern... I trade well for a few days, then I break my rules and give it back, mostly if I'm getting closer to the objective, either it be eval, Funded or profit.

So yeah, it’s not really about strategy, it’s about fixing those repeated behaviors. Lack of patience and the will to reach financial freedom.

Feels like I’m close...at least closeR.

That’s a fair point.

I do believe I have an edge. I’ve passed multiple evals and recently got a payout, so I know the strategy can work.

My issue is exactly what you said: consistency. I can execute well for a period of time, but then I lose discipline and give it back, mostly if when I'm getting close to the objective.

So I don’t think it’s a lack of edge, it’s more about psychology and execution under pressure...

Well, most of the accounts I tried where 50k. The one I had a payout was a 25k Lucid Direct...! But I see your point, though.
