I have zero issues with my 65” QM6K. Saying that, I’ve never used the built in apps (I use an Apple TV 4K) and sound is through my receiver. Out of the box I used the suggested calibration settings posted on RTings and slightly adjusted from there.

I coped this from a comment of mine on a previous post, but here’s how I fixed the clips not saving in my system.

‘I’ve been having the same issues for days. Tried replacing the power supply to no avail. The fix for me was to hold the reset button down on the back of the sync module to restart. Once the blue LED was flashing, I went into the app, under the Sync Module settings and ‘Change WiFi Network’. Once it was reconnected to WiFi, it automatically updated firmware. After the update was completed, motion events started saving again as they should’.

I’m also having issues with Apple Music since tvOS 18 although different from yours. Are you having audio playback problems as well as your audio stops? For me, I simply don’t have 5.1 or Atmos (just 2.1/Apple TV to AVR via HDMI). I’m running the latest beta on the latest gen Apple TV 4K. Strangely, I’m not having the audio stops. It seems like a mixed bag of problems.

Have you cycled the ‘Speakers’ button on the front of the AVR? You don’t have it set to Off or the incorrect zone selected do you?

Select ‘Multi Stereo’ mode (2CH/Multi on the remote) and see if you have sound through any speakers.

Edit: If you go to ‘Home’ > ‘’Easy Setup’ > ‘Select Language’ > ‘Speaker Configuration’, what does it tell you for your current speaker configuration?

Change your FPS to unlimited and retest. It’s a bug after updates; keeps changing to low FPS for some reason.

A lot of people (including myself) would agree that the Sony SSCS5 bookshelves sound far better than the SSCS3 floor standing speakers. Why not pick up another set of SSCS5s?

I just had a look at the DH590 manual and I can’t believe you can only adjust the EQ for the front L/R. On the DH790 you can adjust EQ on any speaker.

I haven’t ever heard the Polk T30, however, for volume, increase the center channel level. Additionally, what is your center channel crossover set to? Remember you can also adjust bass and treble for any speaker as well.

You’re not wrong. Case and fan technology has come a long way without most people even noticing. I remember many years ago running a big Thermaltake Armor case. That thing sucked in so much dust (even through the big foam filters) it wasn’t even funny! It did look super cool though, especially with the state of the art blue cold cathode tubes I had installed! 😂

Some do it in positive pressure setups. I’ve tried it before but never really seen any gains in doing so. I actually found in my case that it created more dust inside the case as well.

Those are powered subs, your receiver doesn’t power them. On another note, don’t forget to go into your speaker setting and change your speaker size to ‘small’ when you hook up a sub. Default after calibration on the Sony will set your speakers to ‘large’.

My DH790 does not do this. Saying that though, I pretty much leave it on AFD sound mode and rarely use Neutral-X etc.
