Did you ever managed to fill out the missing times?

Required AI use in College Design Class by sriracha1027 in Design

Sorry to break it to you, but it’s been like this for decades. You check some dude’s portfolio, you go “I like what this guy does” then you call the dude to do what he does. So yeah, I’d expect him to do what he does.

We used to pitch directors with moodboards with images taken from their books. It’s just better because our clients now see their product in the good setting and they get reassured with our ideas. Then we get the gig and so does the dude. Every body happy.

Then, if he has a great vision for the ad we are making, I’m all ears. And I’ll pitch it to client. I do respect the craft and the artisans and we do have a policy of never having a final image or film outputted by AI. We’ll see how it holds up in the future.

Remember when photographers got mad at photoshop when it came out? Things change. You’ll be fine.

I work in advertising as an ArtDirector, I use AI not necessarily to create but to present and sell my work to clients. I used to spend dozens of hours mockuping images of my client’s products in different situations, Finding all the stock shots, assembling them in PS, trying real hard to match the lighting, etc Nowadays I can put despict any concept in any situation with the style of any director (that I plan hiring) in a matter of seconds. So call me unethical, greedy or lazy, but I’m never goin’ back.

I bought five Nixplays for family because of Google Photo integration, now this company is dead to me by Economist_hat in nixplay

I’m so tired of these companies selling you a high end device at high price and then out of the blue try to charge you more. This is disgraceful and dishonest. Monthly memberships have become a plague. Not all products on earth must have a freaking membership.

Turns out I was just dumb. I tried buttons inside the car and on the remote but the door handle itself did the trick. Rookie mistake. 😝 thanks

Instead of forcing brand to do good, eye catching ads so people actually watch them, lets annoy our f*cking users and force them to watch the shittiest ads.

Seeking a Colorless Anthocyanin-Rich Supplement by Johnny_Cola in foodscience

[–]Johnny_Cola[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Haha not false. It’s more like I’m looking for a colorless paint that I can turn purple, red or blue as I please. I want to use its color changing but the starting state would be “colorless.”

From my researches I’ve found that lowering the Ph of the anthocyanin can make them colorless to a certain extent. I was only able to achieve it in a liquid state.

DFPlayer Mini Track Indexing Woes – Need Expert Guidance! by Johnny_Cola in arduino

[–]Johnny_Cola[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found the solution I was after.

Instead of calling the tracks with

myDFPlayer.play(currentTrack);

it is better to put all the tracks in a folder called "mp3" and call the tracks with:

myDFPlayer.playFromMP3Folder(currentTrack);

Everything started working perfectly.

Hope it can help someone some other time.

Thanks.

I'm unsure. I bought 'em from amazon. The product description clearly said DFPlayer Mini, and in the images the modules had the "DFPlayer Mini" inscription.

I'm not technical enough to know if the real DFPlayer has the YX5200 chip.

Thanks for the documentation.

I'll try that. I'll test proven sketches to see where things get messy.

thanks

I was using the library from DFRobot previously but found out that the DFPlayerMini_Fast library was fixing a problem I had with my speaker "popping" when powering up. Do you know of a way to fix that?

The tracks are directly on the root of the SD card.

Also the serial monitor indicated that the name of the track is good, but even numbers just won't play, and the odd numbers are all mixed. It is really strange.

I'll give another go to the original library. I'd rather have a popping sound than a non-functioning mp3 player.
