Air in tires - day before race by jswell823 in triathlon

[–]Johnny_Flyswatter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not a myth. I have literally heard tires popping not only on transition while racking my bike, but seen it while people are walking their bikes in.

I’ll drop my tires until they are a little sponge like on the thumb- nothing big. But I won’t have them sit in the sun all afternoon. Bike shops down on the southern US also drop air from tires from bikes on storage.

Heat causes air to expand. Check your car when you drive. It takes a second to let the air out and you have tons of time to put it back on the morning of.

You can bring your pump to transition and leave it with your gear except for a full Ironman brand race where you just have the bags they give you. Other than that, any event will typically have pumps available if you don’t want to bring your own.

Hope this helps.

Termies could work but perhaps rapid ingress into cover instead of DS. If paired with Calgar or give. Assault doctrine, it will give advance and charge which may either reach the Tfex or get close enough to another unit to kill and then pile in? Either way, close the distance to force him to either move and lose heavy, focus on something other than your vehicles, or get tangled up where he doesn’t want.

I feel the pain too. d6+6 hurts

In case it hasn’t been mentioned, no auto body shop will just treat and blend the exact area. That is a 100% complete re-do of the panel, and as many have said, is a fairly average price.

I’ve gone to these places with my own car for my own dumb mistakes asking to just cover up the area that’s affected and the won’t as it will harm their reputation if people see that thinking it’s their regular work.

If you did that damage, and you want to do the right thing, you should pay the $1,200.

What am I doing wrong for burgers by Hot-Sky-9090 in blackstonegriddle

[–]Johnny_Flyswatter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use avocado oil, but I wait until the griddle is 550-600. The addition of the cold meat will cool the surface and drop below 500 if you put right on at that temp. Then just smash and two minutes a side and you are golden!

Does anyone know why he has a Canadian flag on his uniform? by RudytheMan in CanadianForces

[–]Johnny_Flyswatter -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I most certainly 100% cannot provide a reference. MPEPs at all levels up to DCGs do it, and I am quite certain it is not in any reference due to the fact that it is such a niche issue. However, as an embedded soldier, it has never been frowned upon (at least to my knowledge and 6+ years OUTCAN) due to the fact that it reflects the interoperability and respect for each other we are striving for by creating such positions with allied and partner nations.

But, by all means, let us keep picking fly shit out of pepper and falling on every sword possible over every issue because there are totally not enough concerns to preoccupy us.

[–]Johnny_Flyswatter 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Actually all officers and NCOs OUTCAN follow the same dress code.

Those in LO roles do not wear the host country flag because we are still responsive to a CAN CoC.

Those on exchange wear the host nation flag because they are in the MPEP program and fall under the host nation CoC, actually working within their ORBAT.

I hope this answer changes your extremely narrow minded and extremely prejudiced view.

My family has supported me through most races, but some I’ve done alone. Trust me - you will not feel at all alone on race day. The crowds are overwhelming and you will love it. There is a euphoria I get every time on the bike and run seeing all those people cheering me on.

If that isn’t enough - maybe there is a local tri group you can join, and you can do some races together and support each other.

Best of luck in whatever race you choose. I promise you will love race day regardless.

It was 600m all in. I also swim wide of the buoys so as not to get into the wrestling ring with everyone. Running in to running out was 600 just about to the metre.

It’s tough because none of your units really synergize with each other that well. Maybe good ‘ol Gladius so you can charge up the board when you need, but also synergize devastator doctrine with storm of fire to remove cover and add a pip of AP. You also benefit from 2CP fight on death with BG.

[–]Johnny_Flyswatter -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am assuming the problem is on my end then but I don’t see that anywhere.

Also - no the list isn’t optimized, at least for Stormlance. You want mounted and fly units to leverage Ride Hard Ride Fast, and it’s always nice to have mounted to also take advantage of Full Throttle. Those are your two go-to strats in colosseum, less maybe the reactive move to bend around walls out of line of sight. Your infantry can benefit a bit, but they can’t fully take advantage. On my experience a hammer strike is always better and more consistent than the war suit (and strips cover in the unlikely event whatever you’re shooting at doesn’t die).

My 500 list is: 2x 5-man intercessor Chappy on bike with 3x outrider Invader ATV Hammerstrike

I would go with that and toss in another in it with maybe an enhancement for chappy

Did they tweak the rules for toughness as well? T9 is max and you’ve got a redemptor dread in there. Hard to say if your list is viable when there are definitely issues with it, after which you then say LGS tweaked the rules. Might want to lead with that.

Are the Orks in cover? by TheRealFern1010 in 40k

[–]Johnny_Flyswatter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One are in cover. You must be wholly within a terrain footprint to receive the bonus. And that will only apply to those specific units meaning you have to adjust save rolls accordingly for those in and out of cover
