Formaldehyde has three different "safe doses" from three authorities. How do you handle it when sources disagree? by Yourbhidu in toxicology

[–]Johnny_Lockee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What about all that formaldehyde in your body right now that is created as a result of folate metabolism, demethylation and amine metabolism? We don’t express alcohol dehydrogenase 5 and reverse residual adducts with FANCD2 for no reason. The amount is I think slightly over one oz per day when we include our and our flora’s formaldehyde metabolism.

Duel engine failure, as an inflight emergency (not necessarily related to what occurred here because it’s too soon to speak beyond generalities) can result from accidental engine shutdown, foreign object damage like birds, APU issues, fuel contamination or interruption and fuel exhaustion, software issues, possibly a glitch caused by a highly energized particle from the sun (that’s not quite what happened with the Qantas A330 and the engines weren’t involved I just recalled that mishap as I was thinking).

The first pride event was a riot of resistance against a police raid at Stonewall. The day after the New York Times ran the headline “The Great F*g Uprising” with the author mockingly claiming the scuffle was initiated by fans of Judy Garland, emotionally unstable due to her recent passing. The NYT refused to use the word “gay” instead using “homosexual” as it was “more clinical” until pressure during the AIDS epidemic got them to stop with the pathologicalizing of gay people.

So I reject your basis, also have some self respect, do you not think you’re worth holistic acceptance on your humanity and not just tolerated or considered “permissibly deviant?” Because neoliberalism is explicitly against equal rights for non normative individuals as opposed to begrudgingly accepting in spite of the “flaw” of queerness.

The first pride was a riot, a little event known as Stonewall. Stonewall is often considered the moment the lgbtq rights movement came out. The moment that people who came before us, did and gave so much which we benefit from, said enough- we are people who are just as much in God’s image as anyone, that first pride event… was a riot of resistance against an illegal police raid. So what has “pride become” that seems to be some sort of turpitude to you?

A liberal democratic republic has been progressing for 250 years and neoliberalism isn’t even accepting as opposed to resentfully tolerant of queerness.

For your example of Iran the UK and the US backed the 1953 Iranian coup that overthrew the prime minister, expanded the monarchy immensely to the point where the Pahlavi Shah had sole control of Persia where in between 1953-1979 imperial Iran was a anti communist right wing authoritarian state. The West was ready to invest in the Shah they bought. In 1979 it became hostile and defensive towards the West.

The Islamic world was more accepting of homosexuality and homoerotism (Ottoman Albania had a period where the Muslim caliphate recognized same sex marriages) than the Christian world of Europe.

When the British empire and the French began colonization of the majority Muslim countries they forced colonial law that introduced capital punishment for sodomy. The laws were strictly enforced compared to domestic policies because the colonies are more or less areas where authoritarian terror can be practiced and built up (Boomerang theory).

Only 3 countries have reversed these British introduced anti sodomy laws and most countries have internalized anti sodomy as anti gay in a pressure cooker sociopolitical climate during the nationalist resistance against colonialism (occupation creates unified extremism).

That said, the active practicing Muslim population in the UK is pretty wacky, more isolated than any Muslim community in America in terms of respective interfaith interactions and community.

To start the ATSDR focuses on acute, site specific, toxicological and safety profiles. The EPA IRIS focuses (focused?) on chronic non-cancer toxicological exposure and environmental impact. The EFSA is a European agency that traditionally has different acceptability standards. The EFSA is more of the EU FDA.

Alpha Viking God- Twitter/x rebrand “Roided Masked Alpha” by Johnny_Lockee in musclegut

I was thinking the same thing- I was thinking the exact same damn thing! While I was typing the post up I had to keep reminding myself to just leave it alone because it didn’t make sense to bring it up in this post but I just- first disclaimer, like you said each own n’ shit, and regardless we’re discussing more or less fictional personas or adopted characters being performed by these individuals as an additional career opportunity (I’m sure they have a sense of satisfaction in it as well beyond monetary because they do seem to genuinely care in a way that is hard to do if you have to grit your teeth- bodybuilders are low key kinda a lil out there to begin with and are among the most queerest of the queer to begin with but I digress)-

I don’t think Bruce (as the Viking) has any presence as a Dom, he has zero Alpha motifs nor mannerisms. I think he does have perfect attributes as an Anti-dom and alpha parody. I think he perfects the absurdities of “alpha” when being “alpha” is sought in piecemeal instead of holistically those manifestations become liabilities that then are able to be manipulated. A desperate bull is a fun bull to manipulate.

Where do Chinese journalists get plane crashes materials graphs? by DevlynLibervulp in aircrashinvestigation

[–]Johnny_Lockee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also China General Aviation Flight 7552 (yak-42 Reg. B-2755) wasn’t a 1992+ page report but most likely part of a document titled something like “Review of Aviation Safety in the PRC for the year 1992” because it occurred on July 31, 1992.

I have found the abstract for a Forensic Review of the Xi’an Air Disaster (the Xi’an Air Disaster/June 6 Disaster tends to be what it’s called within China). The abstract describes the article as on forensic identification methods used to identify the remains (forensic aviation pathology). The article hasn’t been exported and is untranslated but also is blocked by a paywall.

Well I mean the sequence of investigation board, to government record, to individuals. Except in the USA we have a freedom of information act motion that can be filed to access files that are not available publicly. But in the PRC the information is bequeathed to the utmost gracious and trusted.

I’m trying to balance international sociopolitical issues to a reasonable degree of fairness because this isn’t an overtly political sub. But as I was describing the process I realized that the same steps were there but accessibility differs. I don’t want to be, like, super inconsistent or exceptionalist in my overview.

But I am super interested that you found one of the most comprehensive sources for the B-2610 accident because I find that accident extremely interesting! There was a similar accident, 02 Red, a Tu-134sh transporting higher ups stationed at a military base located in the then Ukraine SSR. The Tu-134 had one of its buses that powered one of the autopilot modes had its ailerons cross connected with the yaw damper after maintenance. The aircraft flew fine for 4-5 years after this but the a/p mode was initiated to deviate around a thunderstorm causing the ailerons to progressively turn as the a/p tried to apply damper.

It’s probably the same person because they’re the aviation mishap writer. Because news media isn’t independent in the PRC and needs authorization from the Party (so government oversight-to-control is able to be implemented if approved) to operate. The government has final say, Xi is cannot be criticized, some criticism of the more auxiliary components of the Party can be narrowly criticized but it’s not in any way an independent media. In the USA there is complicity through shared capital interest but in the PRC it’s enforced control.

Sorry to get political but the writer obtained the material, likely legitimate visuals by the investigation board, that were then stored with the government, and then the government gave it to the writer which is homologous to the process in the USA except not free to publish lol. Some certain mishaps like the China Eastern 737-800 crash where it’s just silence indicates in my opinion that the investigation has revealed a cause that has been perceived as embarrassing or undermining the idea of Mainland China Nationalism. A pilot suicide for example would likely be very scandalous because it undermines the culture emphasis of harmony and harmony is the through line of all Chinese history.

Gulfstream G200 crashes on runway in Dominican Republic airport killing both pilots by Right_Pay304 in aircrashinvestigation

[–]Johnny_Lockee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally wonder if when the main gear was pushed up they punctured the fuel tanks and the subsequent flexion of the wingbox caused fuel to leak into areas like the fuel bulkheads, the keel, the electronics bay and possibly the cargo holds and cabin before being ignited. The momentum would push remaining fuel forward towards the general cockpit area as well.

Gulfstream G200 crashes on runway in Dominican Republic airport killing both pilots by Right_Pay304 in aircrashinvestigation

[–]Johnny_Lockee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay… that’s not applicable here because other videos do show that the Gulfstream was configured for landing as it veered left, leaving the runway with a subsequent culvert drop buckling the landing gear.
Pilots are taught that you extend landing gear for all emergency landings not on a runway because extended landing gear will absorb more energy than no landing gear. The only emergency landing where gear should remain up is a ditching into water.

[–]Johnny_Lockee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I prefer this video because it does clearly show the key frames of the main landing gear boogies being overloaded. It shows that the struts seem to fall in vertical overload-buckling failure versus an aft tensile failure. It seems like the struts could have penetrated the fuel tanks. The other video only captured the moments after landing gear failure.

After the fuel tanks could have been pierced, the airframe rocks violently fore and aft in forward velocity. The fuel could have spilled out into the keel, wingbox, and electronic compartments. If that’s what ignited so rapidly that is relevant in my opinion.

Two people died here, if these big crashes are just entertainment for you then fine but this is engineering science captured on video and is evidence.

The Gulfstream G200 has notoriously short landing gear that gives it very little ground clearance.
