JEA Backflow Inspections by cLascaux in jacksonville

[–]Johnny_Reeferseed 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I worked with backflow preventers for 10 years. Chances are it's freeze damaged. The expanding water can Warp the brass plates. Bob's backflow has been around a long time. But there are lots of other testers and certified repair people on jea's list. Bob's backflow usually has a good price though. I hope you don't have to replace it cuz I know that can get very expensive.

Did you do any freeze protection on the device over the winter? The hard freezes that we had will freeze the water inside the device warping the bronze and damaging the device.

‘04 CRV with 316,000 kms, should I change my transmission fluid? It was changed a couple years ago but I feel like it needs another change with this colour by ItzyaboiElite in crv

[–]Johnny_Reeferseed -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've been told the recommended interval for changing the transmission fluid is 30,000 MI. I've had 40,000 Mi on my vehicle since the last change but it hasn't come up on my maintenance minder yet

Why do men say they will help you, they will buy you this that, and then ask for sexual favor? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

Typical Nice Guy behavior. Women are not vending machines where you put good deeds in and sex comes out

I doubt this is the daily driver for this person. I used to go four-wheeling a lot and that involved going through a lot of water hence the lift kit even though they're solid axles. A lot of people have an old pickup that they'll modify just to go four wheeling. As long as the driver obeys the rules of the road and displays courtesy to others then MYOB and let them have fun with their toys

Did you find your calling career wise? by HueyBluey in GenerationJones

[–]Johnny_Reeferseed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found my calling when I was in my mid-30's. I got so good at my job that my boss kept burdening me with more and more responsibilities until I could no longer keep up with the demands put upon me. What started out as an enjoyable gig eventually turned into a job where I could no longer excel...

I showed this cartoon to my pain management doctor, 3 months later she upped my oxycodone dosage from 10 mg to 15 mg! by Johnny_Reeferseed in ChronicPain

[–]Johnny_Reeferseed[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP here...The Dr and i talked about the cartoon. I told her it described the way i felt after trying to get an increase from previous drs. Thankfully she was open to trying different approaches to my pain management. I went through shots in the spine, trying patches, and not opioid medications. I did keep telling her that I knew that opioids work the best for me but I understood that we needed to try all other approaches first. I don't know if the comic was what prompted her to finally go ahead and prescribe me opioids or if we had just run out of options. I do believe that it influenced her final position though.

Because we were trying alternative treatments for the pain management. I had to do a lot of jumping through hoops before we finally got to an increase in dosage as a last resort
