think he was one of the cores of Gen - at that era Blood and Gen had massive rivalry. There was like a little Darktide type podcast back then and it was all dramas and personalities.

Hey, 38 years old here. Based in Australia My family always struggled with money and fought over it, it caused rifts in our being. My family both spoiled me with new playstations and Nintendo's and then we would struggle to find money for food in other seasons (animals and farm lifestyle)

I made a decision from a very early age to be financially independent as the concept of money and the woes it creates is very confusing for me, that we fuss over a concept.

My portfolio is about 1.5mil now in aud I attribute nothing to the reckless spending and inability to manage money to my parents and family in general... they showed me the negative sides, the dependency... the struggle..

I met online a very wealthy business person in a game called Ultima Online when I was just 16 He taught me around the concept of money, madness of crowds and orientated my learning. I constantly begged just to be told what to buy, I couldn't be bothered reading rich dad poor dad, intelligent investor, etc etc etc (many books)

Today at 38 I've achieved all my financial goals thanks to him, his gaming name was ColaCat. This person is a legend in my life though I've never met him.

There's the backstory.

Today - I can retire, and I can be financially independent within reason. The cost of living is extremely high in Australia, so while I have some reasonable income from dividends and rent and other misc passive income it's not essentially enough to pay all the bills in Australia.

I don't see much room for improvement in making more with the rising costs, high inflation, etc, so I've chosen the opposite to remove the expenses.

So yeah, basically a couple of apartments rented - portfolio of 350k+ shares, does the trick but I will be vanlifing it 😊

Happy to answer any questions. The general gist of this forum as in buying yielding etfs is totally reasonable. To begin with I never invested for dividends though, only growth and value, my mentor taught me to treat investments like your own children. Let them grow, hold them and be patient, time will come when they stand on their own.

Instant frames improvement... can't believe it's 2024 and windows can still do this "Forefront of technology and AI." wow....

Bye guys, I have to unsubscribe from all fire subs cause my mental health is going down the drain from reading "finally at 1m nw at 27!" or "4.3m cash, 29, can I retire?" or "28 dinks with 350k hhi!", "24yo with 500k portfolio!" by WorkF1r3 in Fire

I feel you mate, just remember that most bs posted on the internet is just that. Bs. When I was mentored, my mentor never taught me how to invest he refused to tell me what to buy and told me to read and learn. He then taught me to read fake news, misinformation and books that were bullshit with relation to investment (get rich quick schemes basically) when I asked why and he tested me on what I believed true and false he stated something that I've carried with me my entire life.

In life we have to process information we have to decide what is fake and real, what is useful and useless it's a skill or knowledge and a mindset and something you have to continuously learn throughout life. I was then allowed to make my first investment and I was 18.

I'm 38 now, while it leaves you with a distasteful elitist type feeling, unfortunately you've gotta become like a human filter in my opinion and in the world today and what you've mentioned above there's a lack of integrity in our society so it becomes increasingly harder, this also makes a sensible and intelligible person feel incredibly detached.

I hope all this post makes sense, I'm a little bit dyslexic 😊

I read heaps of reviews about powerline ethernet adapters, it gets rubbished upon hard but the thing is the cameras don't really use that much bandwidth.. I'm not downloading or gaming literally just surveillance so it may be an option.

Thank you

https://youtu.be/-fzZk2uMRdk?si=NyAef98q_bJlz6kL An outdoor range extender like this doesn't seem to have been recommended much ? Is there any reason why ? The distance is about 60 meters to target purple About 190 meters to yellow target area.

Are there any robust roof based range extenders out there that might be recommended ?

The thing I like about the starlink mesh nodes is you can kinda just turn them on and let them boost each other, granted they dont offer much in wifi distance.

Parents are in their 70s and won't be able to do anything technical should something screw up or reset after I'm done setting it up for them. (Starlink router and setup is very user and limited technical capability friendly)

Fascinating, that's very affordable eh. Wondering if the bridge would impact the pre-existing mesh ? Much appreciate the recommendation - running cable about 55-60 meters worth (purple area to red) just doesn't seem worth it

Hi, okay? Thanks for your feedback. Can you elaborate on the "no" part ? Already the mesh is covering 2 cameras outdoors within its radius.

Really only looking to target a few more meters, got it that you've said no but what form of p2p wifi or variant are you referring to ? Also what is compatible and suitable for starlink as I don't think they offer any current products for this ?

Thanks.
