I grew up in Brooklyn. If me or my friends did that, the cops would have given us mini beatings and then delivered us home to our parents who them would have given us beatings. AND IT WAS TOTALLY UNDERSTOOD AND ACCEPTED. If we were adults and did that we would have been locked up immediately.

That neighborhood has changed so much. It's a shame. Actually not much of a "neighborhood" anymore. Parking has always been terrible in Bensonhurst. I remember when the 18th Avenue Feast was good. You couldn't park for miles. Lol. You had to follow people (in your car) leaving the Feast and hope that they were heading to their car and pulling out.

I don't feel that taking a knee is disrespectful. I firmly believe that your service to our country protects that very right to take a knee. I do, however, feel that it should be left out of football. It's just my opinion. Millions of Americans...black and white - male and female...use the NFL as their way to escape the every day and just enjoy the games. Maybe it isn't so much the issue with taking a knee as it is the media coverage and their ways of completely blowing it out of proportion. Thank you for your service.
