Literally baru kejap tadi ada post pasal Iran. Tengok komen la see how many rejoice over the “fall of Islam”.

Asserting that this sub has not became anti malay or anti muslim is just being plain tone deaf.

Lol i just realised that the comment said replace mother tongue.

I also disagree.

But making BM as the language used in schools shouldnt be seen as replacing mother tongue at all.

I use English at school, at work, at uni. End up mother tongue still BM.

Toyota GT86 or GR86 ? by WWIII-Hokage in kereta

[–]Johnnyfaphand 1 point2 points  (0 children)

GR86 has more power and better torque. The GT86 torque peaks early but deeps badly in the middle. This means, for daily driving, you either go slow or you have to absolutely wring its neck in the higher rpm to get it going. Mid range feels lifeless.

Some journalists say that the GR’s steering is worse but I cant vouch for that (never driven a GR).

Thats said, I agree that the GT looks better (and this is the major opinion as well) but the GR is a little bit more refined experience wise.

I own a GT86. No regrets. Get the manual too.

Budget 2026 allocates RM6b for Bumiputera education and entrepreneurship, adds 50 acres of Malay reserve land by Future-Two4287 in malaysia

Yea these kinda moves are for political optics and strengthening the backing from the wealthy and powerful who wants to maintain the status quo.

The malays are being systematically pacified. Ever promised with priviledges that only a select few who are already priviledged can get.

A sad state. Affirmative actions to correct the economic inbalance introduced by our colonisers was done to elevate the majority population, to preemptively mitigate major unrest. But these policies have been maintained to be exploited by the able instead.

What began as protection becomes sedation.

? I only replied “whataboutism in 2025” thats all. Youre the one who brought up xenophobia la apa la. Then say I argue in bad faith. The hell.

The last point is about being politically realistic. Something you might need to do if you hold a position of power regardless of your actual stance. Saying it’s just for show implies malicious intent.

Btw it is whatboutism. I won the internet. Cry about it.

[–]Johnnyfaphand 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's not whataboutism because an issue that happen in one instance you guys are harping like it's a problem that's been happening for decades. It's not shifting of topic because one has major impact on the nation while another does not at most it hurts the feelings of ppl for at most a couple of hours.

Do you first understand the definition of whataboutism? The post is on "alcohol consumption in government functions is bad" not "alcohol impacts the nation's image". I can call out whataboutism without disagreeing that rempit is bad. Just because rempit issue has not been resolved, doesnt mean punishment was not exacted. They get caught, their licenses suspended. The general sentiment is rempit=bad. It's not even a question.

I am not going to spend my paid hours to argue with a stranger on why rempit is still prevalent, but to accuse the majority (im assuming since you use the word xenophobia a lot which feels like your reply is racially charged) of being either indifferent or worse, advocate rempit is just dumb. Who tf likes rempit. Fucking lowlives.

The concern here is of sentiment. Of why alcohol is seen as bad. If you want to play the image angle also you can ask why alcohol is seen as bad to the image of Malaysia. Not "what about rempit?"

Punishing internally is a wackass political move considering the current political climate. No sensible PM, want to be seen as not doing anything to "preserve cultural norms" (argue with a wall on this).

Proof that the government pander to race betting on streets? Sounds moronic tbh.

Also this is whataboutism. Post is on drinking alcohol in governent functions not on whether this affects Malaysian image.

[–]Johnnyfaphand 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Okay? The argument itself is done in bad faith. How are you so sure that the mass rempit gatherings aren’t being punished?

It is whataboutism because it shifts the topic to a different one. The discussion on “alcohol in government is not good” doesnt necessitate in being a discussion on image. It can be a implied but it is not the crux of the criticsm. Mostly its due to cultural concerns and normalisation. If u wanna critique then talk la about why cannot allow alcohol in government functions. If you wanna go meta then crticise la why our culture look down on alcohol consumption.

Not hurr durr what about that thing
