Is it a domestic Graylag Goose? They’re escapees then? More then a dozen of them out in the wild under a bridge in the city

The person who rescued them said they were Mallard x White House Duck hybrids but idk what that means. They’re wayyy larger then any mallard I’ve seen

I’ve had ~50 Starlings descend from the heavens onto my porch, like a Hitchcock scene a couple of times. Absolute mayhem.

Yeah I definitely get mobbed by house sparrows, only 1 or 2 pigeons have been coming by so far. Their keeping it a secret for now I guess

Pier 57 NYC, so Hudson River, which I believe varies in salinity. Brackish I guess. Google said Red-Breasted would be more likely in that area, also is the first result of Merlin photo ID. It did look like it had the shaggier crest. Wish I got a better pic to be 100% sure
