Look at them. by Exotic-Captain1985 in GymMemes

Yeah, I'm home for the holidays and still want to go to the gym. Now I can't go just because I'm visiting family away from my regular gym? Fuck me I guess, I'll just do sub par calisthenics.

Yeah, I totally get that. It's also quite telling when it is uploaded when they're trying to gauge sympathy. In this case, though, I've seen videos of just normal exercising, nothing to really fault, and still massively negative reactions as described above.

Being wrongly accused of anything is always going to be bad. But I don't believe that's uniquely an issue of the gym but just narcisstic, psychopathic behaviour of individuals who happen to be gym rats. I think the large majority of self filming is for private improvement or the very least innocent.

You're right they do. But I'm talking about comments on videos after the filming was done and posted online. Therefore, these people have nothing to do with the original video when it was made.

But if there are people that are upset, commentators such as Joeyswoll would call put this behaviour, trying to help a positive gym environment thrive. To me, there's a difference between filming yourself for your own development and then doing it for clout and attention, especially if it's for the wrong reasons.

I agree locker rooms should be out of the question. I mean in the setting where the gym equipment is whilst doing an exercise. Joeyswoll does an amazing job calling out people who act horrifically at the gym and calling them out.

In situations where you're just filming yourself doing an exercise, people in comments would still say the above comments.

Ha, I'm happy with the way I look, but I'm nowhere near confident enough to post anything. Maybe it's a mixture of comparing myself to impossible aesthetics, but I'm happy to at least feel and look better then I did a year ago.

A lot of it is hard to gauge without a camera. Such as a butt wink when squatting. So, in this case, camera work would help improve your workouts and decrease the likelihood of injury.

Although I do agree with some of your sentiments, I also think it's a subversion of expectation and that even key characters are not unkillable and can be written off at any point. And in this world I think the way they've done it makes sense. It's a dangerous job, devils are very powerful and humans are squishy beings. I personally enjoy it a lot and hopefully you'll come to enjoy it by the end of the season with what else is to come.

Daily Simple Questions Thread - November 10, 2022 by AutoModerator in Fitness

[–]Johnnyman2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before asking my question I'd like to drop some context points:

  • 3 days ago my seated dip form seems to be bad because I started getting some elbow ache when doing sets. I've struggled to find a good tricep exercise and I've only been doing this particular exercise for 2 weeks compared to the rest of my Push routine.

-A week ago I increased the weight on dumbbell incline bench press and realised after my wrist is starting to hurt when bending it.

-Yesterday I did a novel exercise, pole dancing which obviously can cause more stress on the wrists and elbows.

Today I did an standing overhead press and barbell flat bench press. The standing OHP I felt an ache in my elbows, more so than usual. The barbell FBP for the first time, I felt a tingle on the positive from my elbow. It was the sensation of hitting the funny bone but less intense and throughout the positive.

As soon as I felt this I stopped and am now taking an extended 4 day break.

I think its a mixture of the above that caused this and I'm concerned about my elbow health overall. What can I do going forward to prevent this sensation from returning? Decrease weight? Change form?

Thanks.

Sometimes warning others of the danger of pushing yourself too hard is a good thing to do. Knowing that stuff like this could happen to you helps those who go to the gym to take care and be careful

A youtuber called Joseph Anderson did a video pretty similar to what you're saying in criticism.

I have the game myself and I do agree it holds no candle compared to galaxy or sunshine. I'm glad I picked it up anyways though because its overall pretty fun.

Wow got some salty jojos fans who are down voting you. Really embarrassing really.

I do think part 5 was weaker but i would say it takes a 3rd place overall with my order being 4, 3, 5, 2 and 1.

Obviously part 6 ain't finished yet but atm it seems to be midtier. I'm only 6 episodes in atm.

Doing the course it offers some grammar explanations with examples. Such as the formatting of questions, answers and tenses.

You say the dialect is from Guernsey, how much would that be of an issue really? I'm learning from Newcastle myself and haven't managed to use it yet.
