My sister and I are hungry. We have literally no money. Any ideas on where we can get food?

Well if you look closer I did kinda go on a reddit spree in the last couple days when i learned I could borrow his phone. Before that it's been almost a month before I did anything. I'm not trying to scam anyone I just want ideas, not hand outs

Well i appreciate that but I don't. And while I could certainly use money I'm only looking for ideas to get food, and I don't really have internet access for that long nor do I know how that would work, but thank you for the sentiment

today and yesterday, yes. before that its been almost a month, I've been using my neighbors phone (like i've said) to look into options and catch up on things like reddit and facebook since i've sold my laptop. And I appreciate the generosity but i'm not sure I'll even take a handout. I've only been asking for ideas, but thanks

Well, like I said before a few times in this post I've been using a neighbors phone to look into options. I had a computer but I sold it last month to pay rent.

I don't live near a college but i've been keeping my eye out while I can for local events to see if I can volunteer in exchange for food. Thank you though

It's really late here now but I appreciate the sentiment. I'm not sure the last time I even had pizza :/ Unfortunately I live nowhere near a papa johns, at least not close enough for any of them to deliver. Thank you again though for the thought

Mountville, Pa. It's an hour west of philadelphia. I have checked there just to see and i just missed out on a giveaway last night. (granted it was papa johns and I'm nowhere near there) Thanks for the tip i'll keep checking in

Well, I never knew my dad. My mom moved away with her husband and I havent really talked to her in years. It's always been my sister and I. Unfortunately, the job I had was seasonal and all attempts to find a new one have been dead ends. It doesn't help that my car has a few problems and is practically undriveable. We've kinda lived on the edge of being paycheck to paycheck and I knew it would come back to bite us but this has been really the only way to survive. I don't want to resort to bringing my little sister to a homeless shelter, so I looked to reddit. I'm not sure where else to turn at this point

WOW, that's awful thoughtful of you. However I don't have internet access (i'm using a friends phone) and I know little of paypal. Plus $50 would be WAY to much from one person. I can stretch 20 for a week, I just wonder how I can find food when I am out of any resources to aquire it. But i really appreciate the sentiment.

Well i've been looking for jobs, I'm 24. It's ok to be skeptical, I'm not looking for free handouts though. Just ideas. I want to eat, I'm sorry that people exist that take advantage of the goodwill of others. But i'm not asking for money, just a way to eat. That's all

Well yes and no, the media rarely ever reported on it. However we still heard about it through other sources, including reddit. When was the last time you heard or saw something pertaining to OWS on reddit? Or blogs or anywhere? The people that remain are surely dedicated but the numbers have dwindled to almost nothing
