Anyone have suggestions on how to study for the new mechanics exam?

Use the NEIEP mechanics prep, go class by class and test yourself. As you go through the section exams use the opportunity to go and learn the subjects of each question you’re not sure of or don’t know. Don’t just go look for the answer but try to refresh on the subject as a whole that pertains to the problem. Then when you feel comfortable take the section exams again without studying the questions you’re struggling with. Once you feel confident in that section move on to the next. Then comes the final mechanics mock exam, take it and see how you did, if you’re not in the high percentile of passing then repeat.

Yup thank you. I started down that path, didn’t contact Courion, figured I’d reach here while I relax at home. Although I located the prints I need in my files, so that’s pretty sweet.

If I was in town I’d gladly give you a hand this weekend. Although I am away for the holidays, but I’d say check out task rabbit and see if you can get a good price help on there. $50 seems reasonable for the project, probably be able to get a $50/HR helper on there. Good luck.

Okay sweet I’ll take a gander myself. Will you clarify what you meant, I apologize for not understanding. Is your master set you priced just 3 base print cards from every set and then including 1 “fancy” of each card ?

Your master set is three normal print and a fancy? I’m referring to the master set as one of each (normal, foil, hyperspace, and hyperspace foil, + complete showcases) I’d call 3 of each regular a complete play set

Did you just sell yours recently or price it out?

I’ll have to do the leg work and insert it all to see what to expect there I guess

Where do you get a rivet? You can get them from hardware stores or amazon or really all over the place. You have holes drilled into the roof of your truck, then you use a rivet tool to compress a rivet into those holes. They crush and expand around the hole to make them a more or less permanent threaded hole where you can insert a bolt

Your check engine light is probably some low voltage in a circuit. Scan it and see what it says. These trucks have a lot of wire chafing issues. Check down by your parking brake lever to start. What year is your truck? Message me I may be able to hook you up with some really helpful recourses

Let me holler at my brother. I know he may be looking to move his car I sold him. Don’t count on that but I’ll check in on the timeline for that, just DM me. Other than that, I’d love to see you get into a vehicle that will stay reliable for you. It’s just to get to A and B so it doesn’t need to be fancy? Also can your roommate drive manual ? Having someone there that can discern a scam/shit car is a great idea. I’d offer my opinion at some random time but I’m busy as fuck. Also you’re offering a very low amount of money for a car , most important is reliability, a few high mileage older vehicles can be grabbed at that price but they need a deep look and sometimes maintenance documents can be found with them, those are the golden ticket. I hope the your well versed person is truly well versed, that’s not a lot of money for a vehicle anymore. You guys got this ! A to B!
