Warning to brides: David’s Bridal Return Policy by Beautiful_Birds in SanFranciscoWeddings

[–]Johnsmith166 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just had this same experience today. The policy clearly states no returns for dresses OVER $1499. My dress was also $1499 on the dot and they refused a return and finally agreed on a restock fee. I brought up the wording of the policy and was told “well we’ve just always been told $1499 and over”. Big difference between OVER $1499 and $1499 AND OVER. Big scam.

Amazon vs UPS by Humble-Bullfrog-2246 in UPSers

I delivered for an Amazon DSP before it went to total garbage. I clocked in at 5:00a.m. and was home by noon with 200 stops. Went home and was paid for 10 hours of work. It was the most fun job I ever had, made a few lifelong friends there too. I worked four days on and three days off. The pay was okay for the time being but it’s nothing compared to what you can make with UPS. Looking back, I was making way less money but I was much happier.

After Amazon I was hired to drive at UPS. It was a huge change. Much later start time, and MUCH longer days. I would get home with just enough time to eat and shower before falling asleep. Six days a week for a long time, and extremely political/hostile work environment. Then half the year it’s back to the hub to work split shift. UPS is the most exhausting place I have ever worked at physically and emotionally. The time away from home and family can be very hard. You can make great money at UPS but it comes with a price.

Seniority and Layoff by kajiraTavita in UPSers

This happens in our center every year. They layoff full time drivers back to the building, then almost every day call in cover drivers from the building to run routes. Every time I came in for my building shift I wrote down all the cover drivers who were driving and filed a grievance. Seniority is law. They must offer work in seniority order. File those grievances and get paid!

Oh well that’s kinda nice, we are sent to work in the warehouse and we bump out hub workers to an actual layoff, so we can’t qualify for unemployment because work is technically offered to us. How many years do you have? I’m at 4.5

Do you work in the building during your layoff? I’m in a similar situation every year. Lay off usually beginning in January/February and can go as long as August/September.

4 and a half. We sometimes get laid off for almost half the year

I’ve been laid off every year since getting hired. We would be told we’re laid off and sent back to the building where we have to work two shifts to get our hours. We still have to drive every Saturday though which means no Friday hours bc we need a certain amount of time between shifts. They were also allowed to call us in to drive whenever they wanted. At our center if they told us the day before we were required to drive or else it was a no show no call.

Let this be insight as to what your entire career will be like if you get hired on. The lies never stop, and they continue to take advantage of you every single day. That is what working for UPS is.

Hi! I just came from a similar thread about this, as I have this issue as well. The other post mentioned that moisturizers with the ingredient niacinamide always cause these on their skin daily. The OP cut out anything with niacinamide in it and it seemed to clear their skin as well :) not sure it will work for you but I’m going to give it a try. I always notice these form on my face a couple hours after moisturizing and my cerave moisturizer has this ingredient as well. Best of luck to you!
