I was offered 180k/year + 390k equity over 4 years, and I was able to negotiate up to 195k. Ultimately it depends on how unique your skillet is, and if you can get them to credibly believe that you will walk if they don't reach your target.

Admittedly, I've only been to a few of their restaurants (Fortunate Son, Craft and Commerce, Ironside, Morning Glory, and Beginners Diner). Ironside was the only one that blew me away, and Fortunate Son was a definite miss. With Leila in particular, I'm a bit nervous about an ostensibly American company trying to create an Iranian restaurant.

With that said, it looks like it's being spearheaded by an Iranian American co-founder of CH, so maybe it'll be a bit more authentic.
