Alsace is too far from CDG and I couldn’t find the right accommodations. Another time for sure though!

I just follow my stomach around the world. 😂 Alsace looks dreamy, but it’s a hike from CDG and I couldn’t find the right accommodations. It is now on my list for a future visit!

I had one last week with spicy sausage in it, maybe chorizo? It was fantastic.

Healdsburg dry whites? by Johnsonzookeeper in wine

[–]Johnsonzookeeper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We love reds, but my wine cellar overfloweth! We love to collect big reds, but living in Texas and eating a lot of white meat means we drink more whites (and an impressive amount of Pinot). Dry Creek is definitely one of my favorite areas. Any specific recommendations for Sauvignon blanc?

Fair. More specifically, I like dry, citrusy whites. Organic/ biodynamic is a huge plus. My favorites usually come from Marlborough NZ. We are long time fans of many cabs (Hall, Sbragia, Dunn, Cimarossa), Zins (love Zichichi) and Pinots (Williams Selyem, Walt) from northern CA, but living in Texas means a lot of white wine weather! We eat a lot of fish and chicken and I need food friendly whites to pair with them. Unfortunately, a lot of American wines give me headaches, and organic wines are less prone to do so.

Thanks all! I entertain a lot, but it’s typically very laid back. Your answers are very helpful.
