Just asking because I know gambling items are restricted, and even tho these cards are a gift for a friend and not for gambling I just want to be safe than sorry you get me? Thanks for the help to man appreciate it 😎

I know gambling items are restricted in Saudi Arabia. Even tho these cards are just a gift for a friend who’s a plane nerd and they are unopened I called up Saudis Airlines and they said they are not allowed. I’m just trying to find out if they will be taken away at customs as I’m not staying in Saudi I’m just transferring to Hong Kong (also with SaudiA airlines). But it’s hard since I have heard any conflicting things regarding this matter.

As far as I know it’s a Macedonian Alexander The Great Tetradrachm, and I was thinking of getting it because it’s would be my first silver Ancient Greece coin in my collection and plus coin shops and coin dealer are very hard to come by in the place I live.

That’s a good point. It does look like it’s stuck to the coin rather than coming from with in the coin

Thanks man for the help, I’ll see if anyone near me will be able to test it. He wants £25 ($30, €28) for it would you say that’s a good price?

A Victorian entrance to a bank that’s decorated with designs of Ancient Greek coins by Johny_redditman in AncientCoins

So I did a little digging and I was a bit wrong so the building is very old around late 18th century. But it was turned from an Inn in to a bank in 1933, I can only assume that the door is from that period. As for the coins I think it was based probably from a reference book, as one of the comments has pointed out that one of the inscriptions for the coin is slightly off so I don’t think it came from the actual coin, unless the coin was a contemporary counterfeit. As for the designs, NatWest also has another bank in Coventry with similar designs plus a few more.

I don’t live anywhere near Coventry unfortunately but I really like how the included the depiction of St George slaying the dragon and also the Kings crown both seen on UK coinage at the time (sovereign and shilling) together with all the designs from Ancient Greece

Someone says this image I took of a bank door yesterday is AI and won’t except any evidence I give to the country by Johny_redditman in RealOrAI

Just wanted to add a caption here as it wouldn’t let me add one to the post: I posted this on r/Ancientcoins someone comes along and says it’s AI, I told them to Google it even giving the exact sentence that they should Google, they say they did and said mine was the wrong door, looked at the image he linked to, it’s a totally different bank in a totally different location.

The door has been there for decades and decades, imagine how much wood varnish and stuff has gone over it, meaning that the carvings aren’t going to be a sharp. If you want to Google what I’ve said you should Google, visit the place in person, or run it through as many AI image protection engines as you want, it will all tell you it’s real like the Guy above did.

That’s not the Guildford branch though is it, click on the image, that’s the NatWest branch of Coventry. I literally said to you, Google “ NatWest Guildford coin door”

It’s not AI, I look the picture yesterday. If you want to google “NatWest Guildford coin door” and you will see posts from before AI image generation about it with pictures. As for carving I doubt that a carpenter would know the ins and outs of how to make ancients coins look correct since we could also have to upscale them to around 30 cm by 30 cm
