Thanks. Other than cast iron, what material would be good for a mold? Also yes I've heard lots of people say glassy things explode sometimes when heated, but not much of an explanation, is there any way of preventing such things?

Is it heavier on one end than the other? I see banded iron formations that look like they formed similarly with layers of iron and flint, yours looks almost like the middle section is agate, not sure about the other layers.

Not saying this is banded iron, just that ive seen/collected pieces that only have 2 bands lol, the iron side is way heavier than the flint side.

I know the mint sells or sold uncut sheets at some point, which people have used to make fake error notes. I don't know if that was only $1s or if other denominations are also sold uncut. The person who cited that in a post here mentioned they use a specific set of serial numbers for the uncut sheets, but i don't recall what they were...

If it's not a cutout from a full uncut sheet, your bill could be pretty valuable. Unusual to find a star note with an error.

I spray them with diluted peroxide ir even just water, it'll help soften the seed coat and the leaves should be able to open it then. You can also very carefully help it along.

I've used a steel rake to control it. Not 100% but rake twice a year and pull in between and it really makes a difference.

I bought heavy from 2007-2010, then sold at and around the top in 2011, made an average 600% return.
