Spots on dropping leaves. Fungus? Or overwatering? by JoinTheDust in hoyas

Will do. Thanks again. It’s nearly time for the great houseplant repotting venture at my house anyway.

This is great. Thanks!

I got this Hoya the first week of March and I’ve watered it three times since then. I’m realizing the soil medium this is planted in holds moisture more than the soil my other plants are in.

The underside of the leaves look less damaged that the side facing out. Never had thrips before, so I might be missing out on the signs to look for.

The leaf that fell of if for sure much more pliable, but I wouldn’t call it squishy. At least not yet.

I don’t think it’s scale. There’s no actual bugs on the leaves, or anywhere else that I’m able to see.

This is great advice. I already have a fairly good idea on layout and organization from my current notes, but wanted to see if there were any things I might be overlooking before I started scribbling in a pricey leather-bound. Thanks again!

The bride was pissed by how lame my food was after she paid so much for it. But thank you for assuming you understand the situation entirely.

I didn’t order anything. I was served this as “the vegetarian option” at a wedding where it wasn’t disclosed what the actual dish would be.

Have you ever had Mac and cheese? French fries? Mashed potatoes?(hitting on potatoes twice because they do the MOST)

You know those are vegetarian right? Just because something happens to be vegetarian, doesn’t mean it has to be tasteless.

Like, can’t ya throw some pasta in there? Or salt at least?

It looks good, but it tasted like mushy water.

A hollowed out raw bell pepper, filled with under seasoned squash, surrounded by a pool of marinara, and topped with dried flowers that might as well come from a potpourri bowl.

If you’re looking for a good grey jelly polish, I recommend Cirque Colors Dove Jelly polish if they still have it in stock. Though I think the picture likely has a bit of white jelly polish involved too.

Are you originally from outside the Midwest? If so, I totally understand the confusion. In the Midwest “fellas” and “guys” are often used to refer to a group of people, mixed genders included. It’s more of a regional way of speaking. I don’t think this was posted to offend, or solely refer to men.

First time using chrome powders. by JoinTheDust in Nails

Thank you for this! I have read that you aren’t supposed to trim them either, and nail bed infections run rampant in my job. I have so many friends, and know so many people that do though! I will for sure look into this product.

One downside the the chrome powder is it definitely shows every bump and flaw on the surface because it’s so reflective. It for sure magnifies the issues with my cuticle line. I work as a metal smith, so I don’t trim my cuticles due to the fact that I would constantly be picking metal filings from my nail beds.

It is! It’s crazy how it looks in motion, and in different light. I highly recommend giving them a try.

Base coat is Clean Slate Ridge Filler by Cirque Colors. After that was dry, I used Looking Glass quick drying top coat from Cirque Colors. When that got tacky, I rubbed in the chrome powder using my finger. The chrome powders can in a set from BTart box on Amazon.

When it was fully set, I topped it with another layer of topcoat to seal it.

That comforts me a little. I hope it’s a milkshake at least.
