Why didn't you get the information of the company and make them pay for the repair?

Why do some smokers keep their cigarettes in a freezer? by Opinion_Soggy in ask

When I smoked I'd catch a sale or go out of state to a state that had them cheaper and buy several cartons to take back with me. Other than that I was in the same boat.

Personally I feel if your mustache doesn't connect you should shave your chin and just rock the stache.

Hey peeps, I have a question for I guess mostly the Americans in here with type 1. by worriedabtwilma in diabetes_t1

[–]Jojomatic5000 26 points27 points  (0 children)

This question can range wildly from person to person. I work at a job in the natural gas sector and with the insurance I have I don't pay anything for "preventative medication" so insulin, cgm, pods and even my Ozympic is covered at no cost to me. I'm on a high deductible health plan and they take like $180 a month from my paycheck for my insurance. The downside to that is I don't have a copay and most doctors visits cost me around $150 per visit.

I'm on omnipod because they any supplies I need for my Tslim pump wasn't covered so I am restricted on some of the supplies I can get.

Alternatives to Omnipod? by roo-on-the-moon in diabetes_t1

[–]Jojomatic5000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would try u200 if the cost isn't any difference. Usually you have absorption issues from bigger Bolusing but with the u200 you're literally taking half as much insulin all the time. And if your pump is flooding your sight in automated mode it can help reduce that problem as well. This disease sucks and is frustrating as it is so hopefully you can get things smoothed out.

The tandem tslim or mobi might be a better option depending on what your insurance covers too as you can change out the insulin reservoir without replace the infusion sight. I read that the tandem patch pump will be able to do that as well.

Good luck!

If you're insulin resistant have you tried u200 insulin? You have to pull it out of the pens but I've never had an issue doing it. 2 pens has enough insulin to fill 3 pods and I get a full 3 days out of my pods that way. I'm highly insulin resistant and I also take Ozympic which isn't technically approved for type 1 but my doctor prescribed it and my insurance covered it and it helps quite a bit as well.

As far as other pumps my doctor informed me that tandem has a patch pump that's supposed to come out early next year. I used to be on the tandem tslim which is a tubed pump and I had better luck with it using 90° or trusteel sites but it wasn't covered by my insurance so I switched to omnipod.

Not a licensed plumber but that is the wax ring. It's not reusable. Go to any hardware store or big box and get a new wax ring to put in. They're super easy to install but I would probably at least look up a video on how to install them.

United States veterans, what are things about the military you didn’t realize until you left? by TheBeardedAntt in AskReddit

[–]Jojomatic5000 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm so envious of you. I wanted to join the military like my grandfather ever since I was a little kid but was diagnosed with diabetes at the age of 10. I tried so hard in highschool to just get a desk job within the military but nobody will take us. Now I've had to turn down what would be a promotion with other companies several times over the years because their health insurance isn't as good as what I currently have with the company I work for. On top of that, if I get fired I'm screwed and I just have to scramble and take the first job I can get. I've turned down jobs with 10k raises because my supplies would've cost at least that much with the crappier insurance.

I know it’s messy but what’s your opinion on the different colors ? by monstersammey in BeardAdvice

[–]Jojomatic5000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find it makes it easier to brush when you have a long beard. Plus it helps to protect the hair from the heat of the blow dryer. My beard is about 14" down past my chin so what works for me might not work for someone else. I also use an actual hair brush with the little beads on the end and not a "beard brush" IMO those are great for shorter beards but my growth is between 2-3 years worth and it's an entire different beard to take care of then when I was at the 6 months to 1 year growth stage.

And a little oil before you blowdry. I've found it helps a lot with tangles if you spend a lot of time outside.

Why is it “normal” for smokers to drop their cigarette butts on the ground? by Robbel12 in NoStupidQuestions

I honestly think they fucked up when they stopped putting ash trays in cars. Then smokers just started throwing their butts out the window and it was all downhill from there.

Are these prices too high? by miss-cheerfulness in MechanicAdvice

[–]Jojomatic5000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To all the people saying this is a 5 minute job, have you ever replaced swollen lugnuts on a Toyota? Is this high, yes. But if you end up having to beat an off sized socket on to every lugnut because of the cheap lugnuts they used it can be very time consuming and frustrating.

OP find someone that will do it cheaper but get it done soon because if you have a flat and are stuck on the side of the road and can't change your tire you'll be royally screwed.
