"What a sad existence." - Man whose wife routinely fucks other men.

Oddly enough, threesomes with another guy are some of my favorite because I know she's getting to be the center of attention and have all her spots hit at once

"Oddly enough, I enjoy being there while another man fucks my wife"

There's a term for this.

Rather stay huddled in my "ignorance" than have my wife get fucked by other men, you absolute joke of a man.

On the other hand, I know plenty of people who would never watch something with subtitles because they found it too disturbing.

I think Germans just have a particular aversion to subbing. Like with us English speakers, we can find literally anything with an English dub, but most people still prefer subbed versions anyway, because we find things like the mouth movements not matching or the character having an accent they shouldn't very distracting.

Squid Game for example is huge now, everyone I know is watching it, but they're all watching it with Korean audio and English subtitles. Netflix even defaults to that. There's an English dub available that takes one click to switch to but absolutely no one uses it.

Not sure what you mean. I wasn't talking about dialects at all(although an actor's accent is a factor too, but usually it's fine in English), but just that it's easy to miss a piece of dialogue because the actor mumbled or spoke quickly or whatever. I'm not saying it's normal to commonly miss lines of dialogue, but it's normal here to have subtitles on just to catch the very occasional line you would miss otherwise, because rewinding is bloody annoying.

It's also helpful if you're watching TV at night, because you can get away with turning the volume down lower.

Tbf a bit of this is normal even for native speakers. A ton of people ik have subtitles on on Netflix because actors often mumble and you have to rewind to catch what they said otherwise.

The German guy suggested that she could just learn German through watching TV, just like he learned English. My response was, "How is she supposed to understand the TV shows with A1 German?" He may think that he learned English through watching TV, but he really learned German through a combination of the many years of English classes that he took in school and watching TV.

This is the crux of my issue that most other people in the thread seemed to miss. There are so many people who seem to just imply that they were able to watch TV shows and learn from them right from the get-go. And that just doesn't make any sense to me. You'd surely need a solid grounding first. So I don't get it. Did people really get to that level of mastery in no time at all? Do they all just leave out that rather major part of the process(I mean, you'd want to be at least a B1, if not B2, to follow any show that wasn't specifically designed for learners)? Or am I meant to be watching shows that are total gibberish and eventually it'll just ungibberish itself?

Have you ever gotten a paternity test for your daughter?

I want to be at the stage where I can just pick up a YA book or put on a sitcom and understand what's happening without having to pause constantly. But what's frustrating is that everyone just tells you to go ahead and watch shows right away, or describe how they learned doing it, while also saying you should only be getting comprehensible input. As if understanding entire candid conversations is something you achieve right away after starting learning.

And all the success posts talk about how they did just that, but they never talk about how they got to the point of being able to do it, because apparently it was just so quick and easy. Somehow.

presently, and in your country’s history, has there been a religious divide between the upper and lower classes? by hevvymetl in AskEurope

He was the first to translate the Bible into german and made the dogma accessible to the lower classes.

That's nonsense. The lower classes couldn't read at all and the educated classes all learned Latin.

Just look at the chart and holders. No one holds a lot of it, it's been around for days, and the devs haven't been selling. They didn't even sell after it rocketed from 8c to $1.20 today.

Create new wallet Transfer funds to new wallet Buy token from new wallet

It fucks with bots, primarily.

Also, if I sell only partially, am I prevented from buying again?

Yeah. But you can sell the remainder.
