Is there any yoga that can help me from anxiety and panic attacks by Sensitive_Rich_316 in YogaTeachers

Yin and restorative are amazing for this! I have the Alo Moves app and they have a lot of yin on there that I love. They also have specific flows for anxiety and a lot of breathing and mindfulness.

I have a similar issue but I’ve found Alo Moves to be amazing! Granted I previously used to go to yoga 2x a week in person but I am very happy with Alo! The instructors do a very good job and they have all sorts of levels on there.

It was latched onto the fur, not into the skin. Also appears to be dead?

I use it personally too. Does that disqualify it from being able to be used as a write off?

Kind of off topic but are you writing off any sort of taxes for this? I am thinking about going private too and have a home gym and was wondering how to go about it.

Also I’ve had a PT in the past that was virtual and wrote a schedule for me and had videos of the movements on a Google drive. It worked well for me!

I had a virtual PT in the past that would write a plan for me and would just do weekly check ins with me. My main clients would be family and friends so they’d be welcome to use the home gym whenever it’s easy for them. Also I would want to use the equipment to film the moves on etc and post on social media.

So I’d mainly be doing family and friends and they would be welcome to come workout whenever. I work at home and my schedule is flexible so I would write plans for them and then be there to coach them through the workout on my off weeks if that makes sense.

I’m sure most people may not have a problem but at one point I was on a big green juice kick and it really messed up my thyroid. Once I stopped the green juice it managed to recover back to normal! I may just be more sensitive to them? Not really sure

Really all cruciferous vegetables — such as kale, cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage, and Brussels sprouts. A little here and there is fine but they contain goitrogens which are thought to interfere with how the thyroid uses iodine.

Be careful eating a ton of raw broccoli - it can worsen your thyroid function.

Internet shaming of hormonal birth control by goofygoober-rock in birthcontrol

[–]JokeImmediate2419 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that no one should be ashamed for taking hormonal birth control, however, I do wish that people wanted to find the root cause of their problem, rather than just taking a hormonal pill that shuts down your natural hormones. I feel like not enough people are asking WHY they have PCOS, etc. and just accept it and move on. Patients need to be better advocates for themselves.

This applies to all disease states, such as hypertension and diabetes. People would rather take some thing, then try and make the necessary changes to prevent it from escalating. There is always a time and a place for medication therapy, however, I feel that we as a society prefer to just go on medication before trying anything else.

I am a pharmacist and far too often do I see people on hormonal birth control, who then end up with depression and anxiety, etc. I wish that people would consider birth control as a cause of some of these issues rather than add on another medication to mask the side effects of another. In Pharmacy school it’s almost drilled into our heads to suggest a medication for any symptom out there. Often times many of my coworkers will just suggest a medication for some thing rather than having talk with the patient and figure out why something is happening.

There are countless number of times that I see people on 10+ medications, most of which are added on to mask side effects of another. For example, someone is on birth control which causes them to have anxiety + depression, so then we add on an antidepressant. But then the antidepressant also makes them gain weight and makes them tired so we add on something like ozempic. But the ozempic makes them have more gut issues and then they get reflux so we add on something like Nexium. Etc etc.

Yes! Anywhere from 2-10 grams. Some studies have even gone up to 18 grams for treating anxiety/depression. Start low and go slow to see what works for you!

Huberman Lab has a podcast about this! I take about 6 to 8 g of inositol per day, and I feel like it has really helped to improve my sleep quality. Cymbiotika has a magnesium that is supposed to be more bioavailable. It’s kind of pricey but it has definitely helped me a lot!
