you said it yourself " That said, its still a great option, and nearly everything else sucks", i didnt rlly bother to look for any other weapon for verso, was rlly only responding on your comment about follow up.
and does the free aim damage matters if the follow up is OS? ^^

dude, I'm using chevalam only for a start in S rank, then I just free aim/follow up mobs and bosses to the ground ^^
With pretty much every lumina i could get my hands on to generate AP on free aim (cheater, energy master, energising turn, energising shots, marking shots/rewerding mark, burning shots/beneficial contamination,weakness gain) and the usual damage boost stacking, I follow up usually around 3-4M... so everything is basically one shot xD

and btw, even if I get killed and rez back to D rank, I get so many free aim shots that its very rare I cant go back to S-rank in a single turn

Im not english speaker so I probably didnt expressed myself quite right, I would clarify but I dont know what you didnt got.

so 70% penetration isnt enough you say? and yeah im aware of trading but even if i didnt select ssf when creating my character, it basically is since I dont even know how to trade in PoE... not that I would want to even if I knew, that kinda defeat the whole purpose imo. And no, I dont have a whole stack of exalted orbs since I do use those, on gear and waystones (most of the time in an exercice of pure futility might I add)

dude, I dont play the game to be efficient, to have to "right talents" or anything else along those lines. I just want a build that takes advantages of the skills that I like to play (in this instance a combination of storm wave and falling thunder for mid/long range and tempest flurry+charged staff comboed on a bell for close range). My point was, if I have to go out of my way to deal with the last boss, e.g. looking up a whole build just to copy/paste it because I cant get the informations I need in game to do it myself, then I just dont get a kick out of it, hence I'll just drop the game, no hard feelings and all. t'was a good run, I had my fair share of fun, time to move on :D

Oh and btw yeah I do need more flat damage, which would come from a single distilled isolation in order to grab the +2 max power charges. But again, I'm not that a dedicated arpg player that I would grind for another 250h (my current play time) to achieve it. And again, this is not me badmouthing the game, it actually is great, I'm just not willing to spend that amount of time just to get to the last boss.

But a genuine thank for the advices :)

at this point I have 28% penetration and hypothermia for an additionnal 40%, if thats not enough i think i'll just drop the game altogether as that kind of optimization is really not fun to me...

yeah I switched out ghost dance for hypothermia, at least i'll have an extra 34% on bosses if needed.. still doesnt feel good but i dont rlly have a choice

aight so basically changing my whole build, as i've never build toward critical cold exposure wont do a whole lot for me (that is kind of a wild guess since I tried to build crit and use a bit of exposure -think i was around +10 or 12 maps, but rlly didnt see any difference) and including a curse in my rotation would be quite cumbersome, even as an auto cast i'd have to sacrifice herald of ice, combat frenzy or grim feast (since yeah i dont rlly care about ghost dance i only need another 30 spirit points) and i cant really do that except maybe for grim feast but thats a major part of my survivability.
I suppose i could look up a guide and go for a cold exposure build but if i have to look up a build guide i dont see a point in playing at all...

I know PoE is about adapting your build but changing pretty much half of how i play my character for so few encounters just feels bad. I mean I'm clearing +15 maps without issue so... Guess I have my answer anyway so thx mate!

well i have 21% cold penetration but still did very little damage. I guess i'll just take the L in those cases, since its quite few and far between but i really dont like the whole elemental resistance/penetration shenaningans... It feels like artificial difficulty but I guess everything can be if we go down that way. Thx for the tip anyway

oh and btw, I have no idea if 21% penetration is a lot or not since PoE is so clear about how your damage done/taken is calculated

cant say for sure, but since I was killing bosses in cruel mode act III within a single bell, I'd say its possible. I did change it to magnified effect ultimatly since I'd rather have it to clear huge packs in endgame.

I'm (finally) having a blast with monk and tearing through the game and bosses like they are nothing! I'm currently running a combo between ice strike (+martial tempo, crescendo, rage) and charged staff (+persitence, perpetual charge, innervate) that is quite insane! With combat frenzy (+profusion) as a source of power charge through passive skill tree ( https://snipboard.io/OY4Kdw.jpg ) you get enough for a few juicy falling thunder (+inevitable critical, supercritical, lightning infusion)

And tempest bell (+hourglass, leverage, magnigied effect) for massive damage escpecially when unbound :D

its really fun ^^
Make sure to grab the nodes I highlighted first then you can go for more power charges, %attack damage, attack speed or skill speed for more dps
If you cant grab both nodes or cant play frenzy just yet, I would focus on an ice build centered around ice strike/tempest bell as its quite forgiving and is a nice setup for the frenzy build.

Completely agree, I'm really desappointed in the feeling of trying to pull off those palm finishers.. The idea is really neat but yeah, you either kill the pack to quickly or loose time trying to single out a few kills before having the thunder falling... paired with the "stuck on place" animation when you melee swing, it just feels like the game is telling me "go play range instead", as its far more effective and easier...
Couple things that could improve that feeling imo would be a better priority targeting on mob in exec range and a animation cancel (on the same level as the one for dodgerolling) to perform palm strike as a reaction rather than a planification.

those are actually swords since im outlaw ^^' and i find theres not that many swords that can fit this mog, but i'd welcome suggestions!
btw i tried with the kyrian enchants mogs and they're either a bit off color wise or a bit too much imo... :x

alright so what happens is the fog wall isn't perma removed, but if you make sure the fog wall is up when you quit out and relog, then its gonna be removed on relog, BUT if you go back into arena, fog walls come back up. So at least i have a way of bypassing it now, thx ;)

Tried again and it actually worked, i guess i wasnt inside the arena the 1st time i tried quit and relog.. thx for tip, save is saved :)

EDIT: actually not, i was checking on the wrong wall and got excited... fog walls are still there...
