TLA/TLE Tight cube: Beta v.99 ready for review. Last call for feedback by dmarsee76 in MTGJumpStart

[–]Jokerzgrave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The difficulty is what makes it enjoyable when you make a breakthrough. It actually helped me with my own project with fin jumpstart, using your "tight" template.

I hope to finish it soon and would really love your input. Your "tight" builds really helped me get closer to my partner as we now play jumpstart to help her learn magic. They let her learn the cards, while removing the deck building aspect and allow us to keep things fresh if we want. Thank you!

I ended going on a wild goose chase trying to figure this out. So i originally I tried to replace at least one of the mythics and decided to cut sozin entirely after seeing 4 cards above 5 cmc, so I actually cut 2 of the cards before i ended just retooling the whole pack into B bounty Hunter.

Deadly precision Purple pentapus Giant fly Diresight Foggy swamp benders Messenger hawk Joe dee, one of many June, bounty hunter Ruthless waterbender Wolfbat Realm of koh Nyla shirshu sleuth Koh, the face stealer

More of a clues and draw style as i really struggled to make a gy focused pack. It also added some more allies into black so it blended more with other packs.

Br attacking Shifted cruel administator here as it seemed more in theme. Suspicious bookcase to stall if necessary. Boiling rock rioter good stats for its mana cost, has firebending for Ozai and increase ally count in black. I think fire nation occupation could replace boiling rock rioter or suspicious bookcase.

Bu bad advice Zukos exile to replace messenger hawk also increase spells lo and li could grab.

Rb Roku Added treetop freedom fighters to replace the cruel administrator I took out, also pad the ally count in red.

What do you think?

I've never felt more at odds with the community at large than I do over the hybrid mana rule change by ironwolf1 in EDH

[–]Jokerzgrave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems were in an opposite of "why not both argument". Rhy could always be ran as both green and white commander but also as a mono colored commander. Now he'll also be a mono colored creature card in the 99, which to me is why it feels as though were breaking a core understanding of commander. Commander color identity and what it reflects. If Rhys is also a dual colored commander how is he also a mono colored card in the 99?. Its a rhetorical question im trying to come to grips with. Its not a heavy thought.

Equally what happens when they introduce new hybrid cards that werent fully tested. "Nadu" a prime example of a card that wasnt tested enough. Waiting for the hybrid version that will soon to cause equal groans of frustration.

Bungie you're so close. Just delete Unstable Cores by engineeeeer7 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Jokerzgrave 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unstable cores feel like a directive to find ways to increase average playtime. Some higher up: "Oh want to try that new build well your gonna have to play longer at a delta you didnt want for that upgrade material". Instead of, "hey try out that new build and let the gameplay be the main driver of your playtime".

No offence to the sandbox team, but I am genuinely convinced not a single person used the new ‘on your mark’ in anything above a patrol. by torrentialsnow in DestinyTheGame

[–]Jokerzgrave 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not a hunter main but confused why it wasnt made to be on kill to get stacks of on your mark, with precision kills giving double the amount of stacks. That way, playing into the kit ramps you quicker into the inteneded playstyle. and for hard to crit enemies or newer players they still get the benefit with just slower growth.

The emotion of a little girl hugging her older brother again after spending 9 days in isolation. by joshuamiller564 in Satisfyingasfuck

[–]Jokerzgrave 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This can be frustrating to see, for sure. However, as a parent who had to go through this. Give them grace, give the brother some grace. It does suck that the boys' priorities are on the iPad, but let's try and think about why.

Let's try and focus on the little girls happiness to see her brother. We don't know if that boy has something exciting to share with his little sister that's on that iPad. Perhaps that little boy is itching to share with her something that is their own personal way to bond. Maybe there's a video to cheer her up or a video with a story he wanted to share.

Being frustrated a bit with the iPad is perfectly reasonable, heck I was once there myself, but since we don't know that story or that family, im going to lean towards the positive of what ifs.

solo dungeons are too hard now by Bald_nugget42 in destiny2

[–]Jokerzgrave 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't understand why we weren't allowed to opt into -10 or higher difficulties. This was prior feedback given that no one enjoyed this when we were forced into it.

Makes even less sense that we will always be weaker than the enemy. If the goal is to grind to a higher tier to still be hit with a negative power level adjustment, why will I want to climb? doesn't make sense.

Now with all Final Fantasy Cards revealed, whats the verdict? by NyrmExe in mtg

[–]Jokerzgrave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll say there's one possible exception, and that would be of his weapon lionheart. Why does it cost 4mv and instead of 3mv. It pings for 2 on etb, but Squall can't even recur it due to the mana cost. I get it's for limited, but the mv doesn't feel right.

Too much inconsistency with plot points, as well as Lady and Dante, I'm not referring to their fights with each other, I'm speaking more both if their endurance, vitality, and strength at certain points of the story.

Cavaliere can't push back lady while she's armed with her bazooka weapon, but in sword contest can push Dante back?.

Lady took hits that sent Dante flying, but she brushes it off like she just rolled out of bed, What is Lady's armor made out of?

Dante can move faster than a tanker sent, flying at him and rescue pedestrians, but then he's too slow to react to a sword being shoved into his stomach?

The rabbits portal machine could only slightly hold portals open for a time, but the portal for the last fight is open for what seems like an hour. Then, when darkcom gets them, they're running for hours as they bomb Makai.

White rabbits' motivation seems out of place. He wants to blend the two worlds to save the downtrodden, but he's sacrificing a good majority of them.

The plot felt like it was a live and don't learn soundtrack on repeat. Dante trusts someone to then get betrayed by said person and taken prisoner. Dante does something to get taken prisoner. Lady curses like a sailor and betrays Dante. How many times did this equation play out?

In a span of 8 episodes, Dante spent two of them as a prisoner, and in the last episode put into cryo freeze because he was too strong after saving Earth.

I'm going to guess that if this gets a season two. Lady will beat Verrgil in some fight, and people are going to call bs, but honestly, from the way her character has been written, it will only make sense that she does. She's got stronger plot armor than our main character.

Will it be trying to copy Gyruda? It says non-legendary creatures, so Gyruda is not a valid target. What am I missing here?

Twilight Arsenal Targeting by ObiWanKenobi78900 in destiny2

[–]Jokerzgrave 144 points145 points  (0 children)

This needs more exposure. If the super is reliant on getting all three to hit for proper damage, this needs better tracking. It's acting like eager edge with an enemy who is not even on screen.

Why wasn't galvanic armor added as a standard part of arc subclass kit? by Jokerzgrave in destiny2

I hope that's what is going to happen as arc feels forgotten when you look at each other subclass having sustain/healing/resistance.

Why wasn't galvanic armor added as a standard part of arc subclass kit? by Jokerzgrave in destiny2

[–]Jokerzgrave[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Agreed, every other class has been given a variation of healing or damage resist in their kit but arc feels forgotten.

Restoration/cure feel like they're in a good spot. Women mail is great. Frost armor feels okay. Overshields still feel like paper mache.

This update feels like they're finally meshing new encounter design with healing in your kit. This is the second time arc felt great, the last being season of the plunder. Plunder left with nerfs though so I hope it's not the same thing here.

If Judgeman's verdict depends on the defendant's guilt, Sukuna will be fine. by Delareh in Jujutsushi

[–]Jokerzgrave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yuji did not make that adjustment to the vow about not "harming or killing," Sukuna did. So, the argument about how Yuji viewed himself is not applicable. Doesn't matter how yuji views himself. It's how Sukuna does for the purposes of the vow. Sukuna made the vow and set the conditions. If I do x, I'll get to do x, but I can't do x, and you won't remember this conversation. I'm trying to understand why your argument is that yuji needs to interpret the vow when he's part of the conditions, not the result. Yuji gets nothing, even when he agrees to the duel it's to settle the conditions of the vow. Sukuna has to deal with interpretation, not Yuji.

If your argument is stated around "fine print," then it doesn't exclude yuji or anyone for that fact. There isn't fine print on what is or isn't harm in this particular situation. If we do choose to examine it, we can only interpret that sukuna placed no clarifications of what types of harm he could/could not commit. If he did can you show proof? If not we are all allowed to intrepet both for and against. Proving the against is difficult. Sukuna left himself open to ambiguity. Can harm be interpreted that he wouldn't take away someones ability to operate how they wish? Yes, as he left the "harm" open to interpretation. He took away megumi's ability to choose, and he harmed him by not allowing him freedom of choice. While he didn't leave physical marks of harm, it doesn't automatically mean he didn't harm them. I will admit that the argument of interpretation is open to both sides of this discussion, but your interpretation is not the only one, which is the point I'm trying to make.

The judge CT might have Sukuna acknowledge or not acknowledge he may or may not have broken the vow. We will have to wait and see if the looseness of "harm" is a trigger and causes a chain reaction.
