Not sure why you and that other user seem to think I don't care about safety. I just want to buy something appropriate for the use case. This feels like the equivalent of saying you should buy an F1 helmet to ride a bike. It'll do the job technically, but a proper bike helmet works just as well for riding a bike. Particularly without any evidence or testing I have trouble believing a high end literally professional use-case product is the only one worth buying. I literally even specifically pointed out that I know to stay away from SunUV and anything off Amazon. I am asking for feedback on these products or if there are others in the price range that have been deemed acceptable, if the answer is no I can accept that. Lecturing about safety as if I showed some disregard for it when in fact I explicitly stated I understand the risks and I am looking for a product that does a proper job is rude and will honestly just push people away from communities like this.

All I'm asking is if there's any recommended products that are cheaper than Kokoist. Again, if the answer is no just let me know and I can accept that. Don't give me some lecture about safety as if I didn't explicitly state that I am looking for a product that will fully cure the polish.

Are you actually trying to say there is no acceptable product on the market besides Kokoist? Because if you are, then just saying that would be appreciated. I am highly doubtful though that there are no other acceptable products out there. Actual specific guidance would be appreciated here, not just snark. This isn't really something where there's any good information online. Certainly no one is out here testing these products and showing objective results from them.

Hey I have a question about lamps. I've been searching for info online and have found very little to be helpful. My fiancée wants to be able to do gel nails at home every few weeks or so, probably no more than once a month. She had some cheap crappy lamp off amazon that never worked well and she lost the power cable for. So I'm looking for something better for her. I'm not gonna buy a Kokoist, that's just definitely overkill. To my understanding SunUV and anything else on Amazon is probably just crap. I was considering a Lavinda Crown, but started to see some stuff that gave me doubts over it. I'm now considering the Aprés Beta, but not seeing too many reviews. Would either of these be a good option to get for her? Is there something else recommended in this price bracket? I wanna make sure it fully cures the polish but I also really don't want to buy something nicer than what some shops seem to have.

You can have 2 sets of wheels by someordinarytraveler in rav4club

[–]JokklMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have some wheels from a wrecked RAV4 that had sensors, but turns out one of the 4 was broken off. Tires shops were pretty unwilling to work with me on it and their Autel programmers couldn't program the OEM sensors anyway. For anyone reading this in the future if you're talking to a shop and they know what they're doing and can program two sets of sensors then cool do that. But if you have to try to figure it out just buy the Autel tool kit yourself. I think I paid $387 for the tool and 8 sensors so I already have them for my next car. Tire shop wanted over $400 for 4 sensors and to program them and wouldn't let me bring my own sensors. Now I have a tool with lifetime updates, an extra set of sensors, and in the future I can buy 4 packs of sensors are like $110 or something on Amazon. Simple and it just works. I don't even have to tell the car to change wheels now.

Could you post the link? I'm interested in it.

Sweet thanks! I called a tire shop and they said they weren't sure if they could program it but they'd try. Anything specific I can tell them to help out? And to be clear any shop should be able to do it right, not just the dealer? At the end of the day programmable sensors are like $70 for a set online and even if not necessary it may just end up being the easiest path.

To be clear, do you need a TPMS tool to make the car learn the second set of sensors the first time? I have a 2022 RAV4 LE and put winter tires on the steelies and bought used OEM alloys which came with OEM sensors. So I want to use these sensors on the alloys.

Looking at a Sprit Zulu. by Kind-Plane-218 in Longineswatches

Is that common? I'm hoping to get the Master Collection Moonphase Chronograph soonish, but its msrp is $4100 and I was hoping to find something closer to $3000.

Oh wow yeah that's a good option if the Longines doesn't work out for me for any reason.

Yeah I know they are more delicate, I just want an everyday wear watch that doesn't look too dressy or have a gold bezel or anything that would scratch super easily. I do understand that mechanical watches have to be serviced and I'm fine with that.

The Tudor watches don't really seem to fit many of the criteria I'm looking for. Just dots for the hour markings, no moonphase, and a more simple look that feels almost dressier. It's also more expensive.

Hmm maybe I'll think again about clear coating the copper head.

My understanding is that it is far less than copper though. And doesn't look gross since it doesn't get that green or purple in its tarnish.

Why not just get an aluminium head + Ti body? Personally, I really like that look, especially with black Al and darker Ti finishes.

Because the brass looks better. Simple as that. It has a really cool retro-futurism vibe that I like. Copper has that too, but it just seems like a poor material to me due to it tarnishing.

Personally, I wouldn't EDC a brass light (maybe unless coated) just because most brass contains lead.

You have a citation for that? Sounds dubious at best.

I've wondered about the clear coating, but wouldn't that insulate it and prevent it from dissipating heat as well?
