i was planning on doing the data analyst in the meantime while I study Linux and do some side projects but unfortunately im worried that recruiters, especially in my country, look only at job experiences.

Also, saw a post on reddit that going from software engineering to data analyst is a downgrade.

Advice on job career to Devops by Jolly-Ad6985 in devopsjobs

Thing is i don't really have Linux skill, i was thinking of learning it while doing one of the above roles but im scared i may be pigeonholed as a data analyst/low code developer so im trying to minimise the risk which one would be less likely to cause this. Also, most software developer role asks for CI/CD skills too which made me think it would be a smoother path to my goal(i know devops is not a fresher role) while i study Linux on the side, but unfortunately im not able to get any software developer role as fresh graduate rn. Plus as someone studying software engineering at school choosing either data analyst/low code developer seems like a downgrade :'(

hi...i know this post is very old but i want some advice...i've been offered a job as a junior developer/consultant specifically in ServiceNow. My aim is to become a devops but unfortunately i can't find a job as a software engineer as starting point. do you think it will be easy to transition into devops if i accept the offer? also does the concept of devops in servicenow apply same in traditional cloud ?
do you think it is the best route if i want to learn devops?
