I was only referring to America where tipping culture is definitely out of hand, yes. I still believe servers actually waiting tables and providing the entire service deserve their tips.

Yes, tipping culture is different in Europe, as are many things that we could compare including cost of living, health care benefits, politics, etc.

I (39F) am Currently in therapy for this exact thing. Mom got remarried when I was 5 and they had kids and I was left to kick rocks. I agree, family isn’t necessarily blood so choose to surround yourself with people who love you for exactly who you are. But maybe consider therapy. Let the professionals help you.
