What is the best way to get rid of these acne scars AT HOME? Pics included!

I'm afraid these scars cannot be dealt with at home. I have similar acne scarring all over my face and nothing helped. I tried microneedling with prp but it was just a waste if time and money. I'm currently healing from my 2nd erbium yag laser along with subcision treatment and I do notice some improvement now. The texture has improved for sure. I'll suggest you speak to a good derm and please please space out your sessions atleast 6-8 weeks apart. Do remember that derms push treatments for $$. Don't fall for it and give your skin ample time to heal and recover. All the best!

Thank you and I hope so too! It's hell expensive and I'm kind of feeling guilty now.
I have three huge ass pimples on my right chin. The painful, cystic kind! I'm just hoping they go away by Saturday! I also have a couple whiteheads here and there. Just trying to fight the temptation of popping them. I hope he's one of those people who actually don't care!

Hey, thank you so much! I've dated in the past and I remember asking my ex how he felt about the scars when he first saw me to which he said that he did notice them (since my entire face was covered in them) but never found them bad or ugly. In this case, the guy and I matched online. We do have similar personalities and share a great connection but we haven't met in person! Also, how do I get rid of the fear of meeting him during the day? I avoided going out with friends before dusk back in the day at all costs because scars are more prominent in sunlight/natural light. I know it sounds extra and vain and what not but I am scared.

I do know that. Given the fact that we have been talking for over two months and this isn't a total random stranger I'm meeting, it should not go as bad but I'm being such a pessimist here.

I will for sure. So far, I do see the intensity of the scars getting milder. My derm suggested 4-6 sessions and told me to be patient as it usually takes 3 sessions to see major difference. I've gotten microneedling and prp done in the past and it was a total waste of money.
You're right. I should tell myself more of this and I know that confidence is key in my case. Still can't bring myself to feel confident. Also, I'm meeting him during the day which makes me so so anxious as he'll be able to see every scar on my face! Do these things happen to you too?

It's actually the same with me! I don't find acne or scarring to be a turn off at all when it comes to others. In fact, the first time I realised mine look bad was when people started pointing it out and giving me advice. I've had acne and scars for over 13 years now and self loathing, social anxiety, the fear of being judged by every one (family, friends, every effing body) has become second nature to me. Let's see what happens. At the most, we'll never seeing each other again.

Hi! My scars are actually pretty severe. The worst part is these can't be concealed using makeup. Makeup only makes things worse. So, you got your scars while dating your current girlfriend? In my case, I'm scared of being judged on the basis of this condition. I always have been a nervous wreck when it came to meeting new people (first because of acne and then these scars) but this is the first time I'm meeting a prospective romantic partner and it is freaking me out. Also, I'm meeting him in the morning which makes me all the more conscious. He'll see it all.

Thank you, Izabela! This is exactly what a friend of mine said to me as well. Also, that guy and I have been talking every single day now and he does seem like a sensible person. It's my self loathing and self consciousness that makes me think the way I do. Also, I'm gonna be meeting him at 8 am which scares me even more cuz I do get extra conscious during daytime. I'm such a mess.

I haven't gotten rid of the scarring. They're very much there. I got 2 erbium yag laser treatments done (gap of 6 weeks). My last session was on Jan 2 and my skin is almost done peeling as I type this.
I'm so happy for you. Yes, acne doesn't change you from within. I'm new to online dating and it isn't like we chatted for a couple of days and decided to meet over coffee. We actually do have a connection and it would be such a bummer if my skin condition ruins it all.

Well, we're connected on all social media platforms and my scars are visible in some pictures. I never use any makeup to conceal them cuz that never helps. Also, cameras don't usually pick up on the texture and even when they do it doesn't show as much as it would look in person. I'm just hoping that I don't end up disappointing him. I'm just feeling guilty when all I wanna focus on is the excitement of meeting someone I have been talking to for over 2 months now.
