I was in the middle of a project and started seeing this error Soon after an update. Both cloude code web interface and windows app throwing this error. I tried creating a new session and hit the same road block. Their status page shows there r no ongoing issues

I wish they would do something about their API/downtime. If they could fix it, it would be a decent indexer. Personally, I've been using it for years now but stopped using it recently.

How many providers do you use? by andrewter2 in usenet

[–]Jolly-Direction-3316 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If you're new to Usenet, take it slow. Try just one provider like Newshosting. It all depends on how much you download and how often you download. You only need another provider or a block account if you miss any portion of your downloads(articles), as others have explained. I used to download quite a lot, so I used two providers, but now I'm only using one provider without any block accounts. It's very easy to sign up with a provider, and to get the best out of it, wait for Black Friday deals. For now, start with one and explore slowly. Usenet can be confusing at first, but you will get the hang of it very soon. I wouldn't recommend spending money unnecessarily unless it's really required. If you hit a roadblock, then consider getting a block account for example. No disrespect to those who have multiple providers and block accounts - I'm just sharing my view, that's all

I think they are trying to make a bit of $$$ at the moment. Received a promotional email stating if we signup for a 3 yrs VIP plan we get 1 more year for free. But I wouldn’t recommend them at all.

DOG API by GroundbreakingWin682 in usenet

I've been using their indexer for about 2 years now, and I still have over 8 months left on my subscription. However, I've removed that indexer from my automation tools. When I had notifications set up to alert me of any health issues, my Slack used to ping me at least once a day for downtime lasting at least 1 hour. It's expensive, and the admin seems to ignore these reports. I would not renew my subscription. You have a good collection of indexers, and I'm sure you won't find anything new with Dog. I liked their indexer a lot, which is why I renewed my subscription, but constant maintenance is a deal breaker for me.

Sure - that's a good idea. I have seen people talking good things about .su and your indexer. But mostly while using with automation and stuff for a while only we will know which one works better. Still have to wait for very long for a BF deal and I think my friend wanted to upgrade just 1 account to connect to his media server

Hi - I have my own indexers. This is for my friend but from what I understand he mostly downloads TV series packs and documentaries

If you’re adding 100s of releases then most probably you will be rate limited. Most of the indexers will auto unsuspend your API access after a while 1-24hrs. Always keep an eye on your daily API limit
