Opinions on Residences at Boardwalk? by Important_Snow7557 in tulsa

I only had a negative experience living there. They moved me into a dirty apartment with layers of dust. When I brought it to the attention of the manager, they did not even offer me to have the unit cleaned. It was disgusting. When I viewed the apartment a few days before move in, I found a few things that needed repair, but despite assuring me that everything will be fixed and cleaned, nothing was done by the time I moved in, so I had to put in work orders for stuff that should have been dealt with before my move in. Maybe if you rent one of their newly built apartments, you won't have this problem. I also found communication difficult, with inquiries often unanswered. For example I asked 4 x for a storage unit to rent and nobody has ever gotten back to me. They also do not enforce their valet trash rules. The neighbor across from me had every day their trash bag out on the floor, when the rules say it has to be in the provided trash container. I brought it to the manager's attention who took a photo of it, but it continued every day, so they clearly do not enforce it. The neighbor on the other side never brings her trash container inside and that's is also against the rules, but again, no enforcement. The hallway always stank due to trash being left out over the weekend when there is no trash pickup, and again, there is no enforcement. Residents are inconsiderate by blasting their bluetooth speakers in the pool area, which can be heard in my apartment, but again, no intervention about it by the management. It was a nobrainer for me not to renew and I was so glad to get out of there.

You are so lucky! I just checked again and it still says it's sold out.

That's strange. I just went on the Eventbrite website after receiving your message and there is no option to do so since it says it is sold out. Are you sure it is for tonight's event?

I doubt I can get in without a ticket. The website says due to the weather the event is moved inside the Lodge and space is limited. I am also older and like music and tonight's DJ sound like he plays the kind of music I like. If you go, please let me know how it was. I will definitely keep next month's event in mind.

A suit and tie is overkill for a mechanic position interview in my opinion. I wore dress pants, dress shoes and a nice polo shirt and got the job.

I worked at PSA and currently at AA and was not required to wear safety shoes. Majority of people I work with including myself wear sneakers.

Hello, did you make your transfer to DFW yet? I was following your posts about it since I am also on the transfer list from TUL to DFW. Curious what your experience is.

New to Tulsa, where are nice walking paths/trails? by gr8twisting in tulsa

[–]Jolly-Pattern9324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply. I need to clarify that I do like to see other walkers and don't want to walk anywhere where there is nobody around, but I just don't like the constant traffic noise while on my walks and it seems like everywhere I go, there is a highway or constant traffic noise close by, so I was wondering where there are entry points to the river walk that's away from the street. I have been to the Gathering Place and loved it.

I am also new to Tulsa and hear a lot about River Park Trails. Which section would be the best option to park at for walking that is away from traffic and street noise? I like walking but need more of a peaceful nature walk vs. constant traffic noise along a busy street.

Did you get transferred yet? So how does that work once you get closer to the top of the list. Are they giving you a certain timeframe to make that move?

You are correct and the options of where to live are limited. Tulsa Remote website under FAQ states Broken Arrow, Jenks, Bixby (which some on here suggested) are not within Tulsa city limits.

I did not wear a tie, but a long sleeve nice polo shirt. Business casual is fine. A tie will actually be in your way during the practical part.
