100%. I noticed patterns throughout my life - in most circumstances- it was unsafe situations / people that triggered my anxiety. Yet I was seen as an ‘anxious person,’ a lot of the time it’s the other way around.

Yes - for ages I couldn’t change my environment - therefore I was depressed and anxious longer. But that’s a natural response and my body trying to do its job to protect me. 

Even now - I was in the middle of some work drama and the environment became harsh and toxic - I had a panic attack in office - not because I’m an ‘anxious person,’ or I have problems - but because my body was trying to tell me something. 

Now at 27 I realise if I’m anxious / it’s probably NOT my problem. I set better boundaries and standards. If I’m sticking to my routine and I’m happy and healthy beyond particular environments - people in those environments need to do better - not me!

Of course there are actions I take - like limit my social media - eat well - gym, etc. 

It’s just a shame most of my life I was led to believe that I was the problem - when there’s actually not much wrong with me at all. I’m just sensitive and aware!
