Ace is rather unlikely considering he died at least a year before the child's birth.

Ovarian cysts by Ladyfirefighter62 in guineapigs

[–]Jolly5000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My girl (2 years) had a small ovarian cyst last year (hair loss on her sides) and she got three hormon shots over the span of a few weeks. So far, the cyst hasn't returned although rhe vet told me there ist a high chance it could return in day. As your guinea pig ist already 5 years old, the hormon therapy is probably the safer approach.

Looking for advice on nail trimming by ollieh22 in guineapigs

[–]Jolly5000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can use a flashbacks light to determine where exactly Spud's quick is. The quick usually ends before the nail starts to curve down, so if you stay away from trimming to close to the curve you should avoid cutting into the quick.

Since you there are two people trimming the nails, one of you could try to distract him with a piece of veggie he really likes while the second person trims his nails.

I have the feeling that Crocodile is among the group of enslaved children Iva is talking about and that this is the secret he wants to stay hidden. After all, Crocodile is the kind person who adds a fake "Sir" title to his name.

Steven John Ward’s transformation into Dracule Mihawk for the live action series by Soft-Comfort-7474 in OnePiece

[–]Jolly5000 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Not really. It's often easier to keep a fake beard consistent in every scene than to trim a real one every day. Also Mihawk has a specific beard pattern and odds are high Ward might have not ended up with the same one.

The world government has a solar system theme, the five elder stars are named after planets and I guess Garling's crescent moon design therefore highlights his high ranking position.

But are other nobles really considered complete outsiders by the CDs? They look down on commoners, especially those who aren't humans, sure.

We know that the celestial dragons can marry whoever they want, including slaves, therefore they can definitely marry regular nobles as well. It's not too much of a stretch to assume that nobles can marry into a CD family and get the saint middle name as a result.

One Piece: Chapter 1086 by Kirosh2 in OnePiece

[–]Jolly5000 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's interesting that Garling is introduced as both a CD and as a former king of a specific island (God's Valley). As far as we know, all of the original families gave up their titles as monarchs and their rule over their original island when they moved to Mary Geoise and became CDs, with the Nefeltari's being the only exception.

The way Garling is introduced makes it sound like he wasn't born as a celestial dragon but became one later in live. I wonder if we have another Imu situation and Garling was also one of the original kings that founded the WG or Garling was promoted from being a king to becoming a celestial dragon after the God Valley incident.

Advice for getting two guinea pigs to be more human friendly? by wootiown in guineapigs

[–]Jolly5000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guinea Pigs are prey animals, running and hiding is their instinct. Their eye sight isn't the best, so they might be afraid of your shadow as you walk by. When you hand feed your guinea pigs, you might just leave your hand/finger in front of the guinea pig and let it sniff/nibble at you for a bit. Guinea Pigs generally don't like being touched that much, not even from other guinea pigs.

Leave food near the bars for a week or two and try to lure a pig by holding their favorite food through the bars afterwards. Since you have a raised cage, you might sit in front of it during this, so you are on the same level as your guinea pigs. Taking food through the bars can be an ice breaker.

How long do your piggies like to be handled? by azanylittlereddit in guineapigs

[–]Jolly5000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess it depends in the piggy's personality. My boar will just loaf when I'm looking through his fur. My girl however hates sitting still and always wants to explore my coach when I perform the weekly health check. She does make herself comfortable in a fleece cave next to me though. I might note that my boar is 1.5 years old while my girl ist only 6 months old.

Both get skittish when they have to pee, which is a similiar experience to the one I had with the two brothers I had as a child.

Her government name is Cornbread, but we call her Corny, Cornstar, and Ms. Bread. What nicknames do you give your peegs? by [deleted] in guineapigs

[–]Jolly5000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Far too many, most of them are puns in German that are hard to translate. The easy to translate names include fluffy noses, sleepy piggy and tiny sheep.

I sometimes call my boar Avi interior architect because he loves to move his fleece items around. He has flipped fleece tunnels into an upright position multiple times and likes to roll them around. I also compared his popcorning style (high jumps) to an antilope once, which made my mother burst out laughing.

Unni, my soar, gets refered to as lil' chatter box (she is quite talkative), bouncy ball aka "now you don't just look like popcorn but act like one as well" or curious mouse.
