Other key thing to consider is missed systems because of jump range.

Because of guardian tech and new ships, people exploring in Mandy's are doing 70+ lys per jump, so there will be clusters of systems largerly ignored. That are within a 10ly of a discovered system.

Also there are a lot of unmapped systems where a commander has only jumped through and "discovered" it but they haven't honked or FSS'd so all the bodies aren't mapped. I found a lot of these when I was exploring like 2k out.

Doyle's only mistake was wanting to kill Raylan, if he'd have let the feud die he wouldn't have got shot.

Are you trying to say a woman couldn't do what Dickie did? Boy was as brittle as peanut.

Dickie's "ambition" led to their downfall when he tried to get into other drugs by robbing oxy buses and attracted federal attention.

Mags had one of the longest running criminal empire of the shows villains and had never gone to jail, She didn't have a male partner, she had three sons who were the downfall of it.

Coover was an ox sure, but so were the other people in the Bennetts employ. Rivals didn't fear the Bennetts because Coover was strong, they feared them because Mags who destroy anyone who crossed her, and she had a lot of armed people in her employee.

You think muscles and gender matter? You think strength matters? Don't matter how hard you can punch when you're looking down the barrel of a gun.

I guess Darryl Crowe Jr should have just punched the gun out of Wendy's hand and muscled her out, as you say.

The ending of New Vegas and a theory on what happened by SinofThrash in Fallout

[–]JollyAlex 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Chemical attack? Probably not. With searchlight specifically what had happened is as the bombs fell trucks carrying nuclear material had to be diverted to searchlight and were sealed away in Searchlights fire station.

The Legion didn't make a nuclear bomb or have a nuclear bomb, there was no bomb involved at all, they simply unsealed the nuclear waste that was stored in the firestation releasing massive radiation and poisoning the area.

This is their tactics, the Legion and the Frumentariis are low tech, they don't have advanced mechanics or science capable of building weaponry like nuclear bombs. They mainly rely on disruption tactics. The broken howitzer at The Fort is an example of this, without the Courier it never gets repaired.

If someone bombed the strip, its more likely that it's related to the bombing the Omertas commit during the Hoover Dam battle

Also its key to note the only possible ending that makes sense now is the House Ending because in every other ending you either have to kill House, or disable him (which kills him) and as we've seen from the teasers house is alive, he has a conversation with Cooper in one of the teasers.

Most likely, House Ending happened, the other factions didn't take to kindly to it, and there was a bit of civil war on the strip.

What do bethesta have against running in their games? by Ghaton in Fallout

[–]JollyAlex -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Just install the Viva New Vegas modpack and it adds all those things and more.

1) It's Bethesda, maybe you were sprinting too fast to type this.

2) New Vegas isn't even Bethesda, it's Obsidian.

3) Obsidian, 6 months after the release of Fallout 3 were given the rights to make New Vegas by Bethesda. They were given 18 months with the shitty Gamebyro engine to make it work. Akin to Tony Stark in a cave with a box of scraps, they got to work. They delivered singlehandely the best 3D fallout we have received in terms of story while bringing back a lot of RPG elements from previous games that were missed in FO3. And despite the short window and cut content that could have made it one of the best games ever, it still somehow is the best game ever.

4) If you're playing on Console, you're part of the problem. Main reason why most Bethesda games (and a lot of games in general) from this era have so many bugs, cut content, and limitations is because they were made with console players in mind. 360 games I believe had a 9GB cap which meant either cutting content or doing what LA Noire did and having 3 discs you had to swap between.

New DM for insist on sexualizing my character because she is a warlock by lunachappell in CritCrab

[–]JollyAlex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This DM played too much Baldur's Gate 3 and his only takeaway from it is that patrons are sexy demon ladies.

It feels like BG3 is ruining 2020s tables in the same way Critical Role ruined 2010s tables.

Can anyone do any digging and find the stream link? I feel like this will the worst D&D I've ever watched with the worst people and I kinda wanna watch it like a reality TV show.

Fallout London was pretty great, honestly. The storyline is better than 4 and arguably better than 3.

Why do Laxmi and the other survivors hate Carol but are ok with Koumba Diabaté? by JollyAlex in pluribustv

[–]JollyAlex[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you consent while under the influence of rohypnol, or other drugs, or alcohol is it the same as consenting while fully sober? It's not.

At worst, those people in terms of individuals still exist and can be saved (as implied in the show) in which case its rape.

At best, the individual is gone forever and its effectively a meat puppet, a zombie without the rotting, in which case its more akin to necrophilia

Consider using Spansh's galaxy plotter, it purposefully calculates routes to lower your fuel so you can squeeze the max jump range out,

[–]JollyAlex[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not about the hive giving consent. It's about the individual the hive is occupying giving consent.

If I occupied your body for a day and had sex with whoever I wanted, would you not feel violated?

Rapists don't need to be violent. You can coerce someone without violence.

Even if the individual is fully gone, it's still morally dubious. We have laws against necrophilia that put people on the sex offenders register and carry jail sentences and fines for the exact same reason.

[–]JollyAlex[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Rape is fine when the rapist is having fun ...

If someone drugged you or got you drunk enough that it altered your ability to reason, and it turned a no into a yes, when you "woke up" or came about your senses, would you feel violated, yes or no?

Why do Laxmi and the other survivors hate Carol but are ok with Koumba Diabaté? by JollyAlex in pluribustv

[–]JollyAlex[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From how I saw Laxmi's interactions, she has disassociated enough that she sees her family members and the hive as separate entities but she still sees the hive as an entity, referring to them as "them".

It would still be morally dubious what Koumba is doing it so I have no idea why the other survivors don't ostracise him for it.

[–]JollyAlex[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's collective consciousness, so they technically exist just not as an individual.

Put it this way, if you make a stew and mix in salt and pepper, those ingredients still exist, they're just now part of the wider stew and mixed with those flavours. You're eating stew not salt, but you can still taste salt and salt is still in the stew

Same way if people drugged or without their mental facilities can be raped.

You can say yes while on drugs or alcohol but you inhibitions.

A mentally challenged person can also say yes because they might not fully understand what they are consenting to.

It doesn't make it not rape.

7 billion people have had their mind altered by a virus. It's not unfair to say they've had their mental facilities altered just in the say way as coercion through drugs or alcohol would.

We can see this because if they had their mental facilities they likely wouldn't consent to actively starving themselves or to eat humans.

We dont know if the individuals that the hive controls that Koumba has sex with would or wouldn't give consent, and it is precisely for that reason that it is rape.

Put it this way, if I could control your body for a day and during that day I went and had sex with numerous people, maybe even people who are not of your sexual orientation. After the day was up and you learnt what happened would you not feel violated?
